Is it normal to struggle this much?

But of a weird question here lol. So I'm 18 and a half weeks at the moment with my first, and I have only got the smallest of bumps to the point I think I just look a little round/chubby, so nothing too noticable, doubt anyone would think "oh she's pregnant!" But I notice everytime I stand up from sitting or laying down I struggle so much like I feel so heavy!! Sometimes my boyfriend will just pull me up instead haha. Could this be just simply because I'm so skinny anyway and the extra weight of the baby is pulling me down? Cause I cant even begin to imagine how much I'll struggle when I'm really big!😂 xxxx

Congratulations Smile

I was tired from 12-16 weeks but not so bad I couldn't get up, just a bit more knackered by the end of the day. You say you are 'so skinny'. Are you eating enough to provide the energy you need? You aren't really eating for two but equally you shouldn't be counting calories.
Have you asked your gp? You might be anaemic which can make you feel very tired.

No, not normal. Are you eating properly, and if not could it just be a lack of energy? I was really tired first trimester, but didn’t feel heavy. Do you actually hurt when standing up? If so, could be a hip pain problem like PGP?

Either way, eating well and exercising well are key to stay fit and strong during pregnancy.

If you're teeny tiny then even a small gain will take more adjustment than if you were, say, a heffer like me who'd probably not notice triplets for 6 months 😁

Pregnancy is knackering. Take it easy whenever you can.

And congrats.

Normal 😊

It's only now that I'm 28 weeks I look back when I was like 20 weeks when I thought I had a bump lol!

When you look back at older pictures if you take them during pregnancy it's funny how "small" we look when we though we were huge!

I'm slim too and felt the same just heaviness! Lots of changes going on x

One thing I will not be no matter how big is reliant on anyone. My hubby would offer me a hand to get up when pregnant with ours and I'd give him a mucky look (not an invalid). He couldn't offer for last 12 weeks of my twin pregnancy because he broke his leg and was less able than I was.

I think this is normal. I’m absolutely not skinny, I was a size 14/16 pre pregnancy and I’m 23 weeks now. I really struggle to get up off the sofa and feel like I’m dragging myself around! My bump isn’t even big yet either.
