Ivebeen frantically POAS since my first BFP at 10dpo. Today was meant to be my last, but now my line isnt as dark as yesterday or the day before. I had a cp at 16 dpo in December, but tests never got this dark initially. Can anyone offer any advice? Is it still possible to have a chemical now after getting lines this dark?

Hi. The lines don't mean too much in themselves.
It could be anything. The test absorbed slightly less, you having drank more and it being diluted more than the other. Anything.
Please don't worry too much about it. My lines have never been dark. Even a week past period date. And I am 32 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child.

It also doesn't matter how dark your lines are, a chemical or miscarriage can still happen.

Nellle · 11/02/2021 16:41

Congratulations! Stop testing.

MooreLew · 11/02/2021 17:07

They are really dark lines. Much darker than I've ever got. All my pregnancies have been successful. Stop testing, you will drive yourself mad!

GreenSlide · 11/02/2021 17:10

With any of my chemicals they started weak and stayed weak, they were never as strong as yours. It's normal to get a bit of fluctuation in line strength, I had days where my lines were fainter than the days before with this pregnancy and I'm 16 weeks now. I gave up testing in the end, it was driving me mad and that's what you should do too Thanks

I say this with the greatest amount of kindness having been here myself a couple of weeks ago but please stop testing. It does nothing more than stress you out and it is stopping you from enjoying your pregnancy. There could be any number of reasons for variations between tests but they are all still telling you the same thing: You are pregnant. Enjoy that fact, take each day as it comes and try not to stress Smile

I’m 5+2 now and was in your position a couple of weeks ago - I totally know how it feels but binning the tests and trying to relax does help. Testing will not alter the outcome of your pregnancy so just try to go with the flow and enjoy the fact that today, you are pregnant! Wishing you all the very best in your journey! Xx

It looks fine. Today's looks slightly like the line has broken a little. I had the same thing happen on mine. I'm now 28 weeks xx

Stop peeing on things.

Those are very dark lines but anything can happen. Try and relax Flowers

halfwaythrough2 · 11/02/2021 19:14

Congrats and fingers crossed for you! They are very dark try not to worry x

Gemmaemilyx · 11/02/2021 22:33

Congrats! As others say, stop testing. You're just tormenting yourself. I did it!! I thought the lines were getting lighter. Eventually they did get lighter! Nothing wrong with baba. Coming up 14 weeks now and everything is perfect!! ♥️ hope they rest if pregnancy goes well for you xx

Summersun001 · 11/02/2021 22:55

Firstly, congratulations! ❤️

I completely agree with the comments above. Stop testing. The darkness of the lines on your test isn’t an indication of the strength/viability of your pregnancy.

Without sounding insensitive, I miscarried and I had strong, positive results for nearly four weeks after my miscarriage was confirmed. So please do not waste your money, or put added pressure on to yourself. You have your positive result, relax and take care of yourself. Speaking from experience, you will spend your time worrying about something that is absolutely beyond your control. Testing everyday will not be beneficial to your well-being. It will just make you absolutely paranoid. Again, speaking from experience, if something is wrong your body will tell you. For now, take each day as it comes, try to relax and think positively. There really is no reason to believe that you will not have a successful healthy pregnancy. 😘 xxxx

@Jessie1294 i wouldn’t worry, I had crazy light tests compared to the day before with my FMU then darker in the afternoon. It’s not like it’s very faint it’s a proper positive 😊 (I’m 10 weeks now and baby is well) xx
