I will be testing again in a few days. It was taken in the time frame also. Just looking for fresh eyes. I'm 5 DPO.

FIVE DPO?!

Sorry OP but it’s seriously way too early to test at five DPO, not sure I can see anything. It’s called the TWW for a reason, try to hang on.

WalkingMeAway · 11/02/2021 15:24

Way too early to get a reliable test result. You probably need to wait until you are at least 9/10dpo

skidadle · 11/02/2021 15:30

I can see something but 5DPO is WAY to early for a positive line!

dippyegg32 · 11/02/2021 15:31

I got this today at 7dpo Confused

Think there is a very very small proportion of women who can get a positive at 7DPO. At five you’ll have barely implanted, no time to produce enough of the hormone yet!

Frustration21 · 11/02/2021 15:51

Sorry but 5D is too early. The embryo is only just reaching blastocyst stage and hasnt even begun to implant.

KB785 · 11/02/2021 16:01

Oki sorry. Will test maybe in a week or 2

It really isn't possible to have enough pregnancy hormone for a positive test if you ovulated five days ago. Two is the two week wait, which basically means the two weeks between ovulation and your period. Normally you would expect to take a test on the day of your missed period or if you have an early response test from 11/12 duo

Garman · 11/02/2021 16:07

Two Week Wait

SquirtleSquad · 11/02/2021 16:16

I didn't test positive until about 12 DPO with twins let alone the single one. You'll get people claiming they tested positive super early and I get that everyone's different but those people probably ovulated earlier than they think.

Don't apologise, it's a learning curve! I remember when I was TTC not knowing about any of the cycle details for timeframes. Honestly, I've learnt a lot about biology here Grin

SmidgenofaPigeon · 11/02/2021 16:31

No worries OP- you learn fast! Good luck.

MustBeTime · 11/02/2021 17:03

@KB785 don't apologise, its all quite complicated. Test again in 5 days or so, good luck!

Please start your own thread. It's really disheartening for people desperately hoping for a positive and starting a thread like this for advice and someone else jumping on and being told theirs is positive when the oPs isn't or isn't clear.

You can almost hear the tone in this thread... OP don’t apologize, some women just get off on judging others.

Typically you would see a positive around 11-12 DPO, otherwise your body doesn’t have enough time to build up HCG, pregnancy hormone. Those internet cheapies take a lot more hcg to show up. Try a first response early response test, yes they’re more expensive but they will show you sooner than the internet cheapies. Best of luck!

Thanks a lot. I'm going to wait til the 21st (period is due that day) just hard resisting using the little cheap tests lol! I did another today just for the sake of it and there's a tiny tiny tiny faint line. But I'm nearly sure its an evaporation line :D ignoring it and keeping my mind clear for the week. I appreciate the comment a lot. Still learning all this :D I have 2 kids already but the 1st was a surprise at 18 and the 2nd was semi planned. This time its a let's see what happens which is torturing me lol

@KB785 do not apologise. You’re excited and allowed to do what you want. I got a very early positive 5dpo and I’m not 12weeks pregnant. GOODLUCK I hope it’s a sticky one for you. Keep us posted xx

Twizzle8 · 14/02/2021 09:33

@KB785 p.s it could be twins 😜 when the hormone level is detected so early on, it’s often twins. I was pregnant with twins last year and got a positive pregnancy test at 6dpo. Sadly I miscarried...but still, everyone is different x

Twizzle8 · 14/02/2021 09:33

I mean I’m now 12weeks pregnant* ahhh autocorrect

KB785 · 14/02/2021 11:38

:D God twins run in both our families.. I've managed to avoid it so far with my 1st and 2nd lol I've horrible headaches, and feel so sick atm which is extremely out my normal. I am very excited but I'm trying not to get hopes up too. Going to wait til the 20th and hold on basically. 20th is my period due date so who knows:) there is always next month if no lines :) x
