Any advice please!!

I’m 30weeks pregnant and I’ve been feeling abit off in myself the last few days, been sick, can’t eat had really bad back pains and can’t sleep or get comfortable. But I just put this down to get bigger (even though my bumps measuring small). I had a growth scan and consultant appointment today, where they told me baby’s measurements are looking ok but because I wasn’t well took some swabs and did a internal exam. They told me baby head is really low and I’m 2/5 engaged but cervix is still closed, but if I’m not feeling any better by Friday to ring up and they will see me. After I left I realised I didn’t really asked what this actually means.
Dose anyone know if its higher the number the lower down she is?? Is she suppose to be engaged this early?? And does it mean I’ll go into labour early??
Sorry for the long post and all the question I’ve just got so much going round my head (my little boy was born at 25weeks so I never got this far)and want to stay away from google until I get in touch with the doctor.

Hiya. I'm sorry to hear that your feeling unwell and out of sorts. It's Hard work growing a bubba! But it's great they are keeping a eye on you!

With my last I was in and out of hospital constantly from 30 weeks with small measurements, reduced movements and measuring small. I ended up on twice daily CTGs from 35 weeks and induced at 37 so never really did the whole 2/5ths engaged etc this time.

However, I think from recollection (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that when your 5/5 engaged your fully engaged if that helps explain? I don't think it means too much as I'm sure their little heads can dip in and out up until they are fully engaged and fixed. So try not to read too much into it, as this happened to me over 6 years ago now! :)

If your worried, maybe give your midwife a call in the morning I'm sure she'd be happy to go over the findings with you and explain more!

Unfortunately it doesn't really mean anything unless you're fully engaged 5/5.
Especially if your cervix is closed.
You can be 2/5 right up until 42 weeks.

I was 2/5 at 28 weeks, went up to 3/5 at 34 weeks and still went until I was induced just before 42 weeks

I managed to get some sleep last night which has made me feel a lot better today.
It great to hear it nothing for me to panic about about.
I think I was just over thinking things with my little boy been early and not been at this stage before.
I’m just hoping she stay where she is for as long as possible!!
