39 weeks and sharp pains

Hi all! Just after a bit of advice! This is my first pregnancy and since yesterday I have been having really deep sharp shooting pains as well as period like aches and back ache! Baby is still moving and active so no worries about him! But it’s like the kind of breathtaking pain but not a tightening pain that I’ve had previously! Could this be the early stages of labour?

Also if so does this mean it’s looking likely to be soon or will I be experiencing this for a while? I fine my only comfort is on my exercise ball 😝

Any help would be great!!

All of my labour pain was in my back and very stabby!

That’s kind of where they are atm!! Like someone is stabbing my back 🤣 and if I bend forward it’s like I’m stuck!!!

Have you been timing the pain? And is there any pattern?
Unfortunately even if that is the case, nobody can tell you how long. Could be a day, could be a week!

Yeah we had been last night and there was a pattern to it but I was able to fall asleep! Today it’s been on and off but as the day goes on it’s more of a pattern. I went for a walk today to just try and see if it passes it but it hasn’t! Just lots of discomfort and sharp pain radiating up my back and just low and deep!

They said the baby was back to bump, it’s just sharp deep pains that I can feel in my back and low deep down as well that come and go!

I was just wondering if it was a nerve thing. Anyway, good luck!
