Small bleeds and spotting 12-17 weeks

Hi all
I had quite a big bleed at 12 weeks and ever since I’ve had small bleeds and spotting (mainly brown and dark red) and I’m currently 17 weeks .
I often have dark brown stringy tissue (sorry TMI) has anyone else had this and gone on to have a healthy baby?
I’ve had 2 scans and although they didn’t say much they said the baby had a string heart beat and they couldn’t see any obvious cause for the bleeding.
I’ve had 9 early miscarriages so I’m in constant panic mode :(

@Josie2021 oh this sounds so tough 😢 so sorry for your previous losses. Where have you had the scans? Private or EPU etc? I had spotting at 10 weeks for three days and was absolutely terrified. I was seen at EPU and like you everything looked great with baby and told bleeding wasn’t coming from the pregnancy. I had an internal exam and was found to have a polyp on my cervix which was causing the spotting. If you haven’t had an internal exam I would definitely call your GP and ask for one as could be something as simple as a polyp or cervical ectropion x

@Josie2021 I'm 22 weeks and have had a bleed at 12 week and a bleed at 20 weeks I was the same @MintGreenLife and had a cervical polyp, so no sex for me until I can get the polyp removed after pregnancy due to being rhesus negative.

@MintGreenLifeHey 👋🏻 I had my dating scan just after 12 weeks and then an emergency scan at 14 weeks in EPU. I have GD so my consultant had a look at my cervix yesterday and took some swabs but said she couldn’t see anything obvious. Fingers crossed it’s something simple
@immh glad it’s not just me - makes me feel a bit better knowing you are further along and still doing ok 🥰

@immh we’re going down the no sex route also, but only because I was told I can’t just assume any more bleeding is because of the polyp, and I don’t want to encourage more bleeding as 1. It’ll stress me out and 2. Don’t want to have to go into hospital every time with Covid. Feel bad for DH, but would cause more anxiety than it’s worth!

@Josie2021 from what I understand some women just spot in pregnancy for no real reason. It’s good everything is fine with baby, but any kind of spotting/bleeding is stressful regardless!
