Currently about 5w 3d roughly, implantation bleeding cd26, am now CD30, got v faint positive at CD30 & am panicking big time bc my tests still aren't showing as dark as the control line!

I am 42 & had a mc at 6 weeks last January, am totally aware this is my last chance & I'm terrified of losing this one too! I know whatever is to be will & theres nothing I can do about it, dr doesn't think it necessary to do any bloods or tests atm since I dont have any bleeding etc, I just can't seem to get it out of my head!!

Top pics were a week ago, bottom one this morning

Was the first pic this morning (green one) and the 2nd pic with 2 tests last week? If yes then the line is definitely much darker.

gizmo167 · 10/02/2021 11:34

Yes, the single one this morning, the pic with the 2 were 7 days ago

Hi, I don't know if it will make you feel any better but my lines have never got darker. In some cases got lighter and I'm now 32 weeks.
Happened with all my pregnancies.

SnooperTrooper12345 · 10/02/2021 12:07

Your lines have definitely got darker though. And you're only 5 weeks.
You're better off, easier said than don't I know, but better not checking. A positive is a positive.
I had to test all throughout my miscarriage and some lines were darker than others even further into it

hulloall · 10/02/2021 12:10

Your lines are definitely getting way darker.

I was the same as you after 2 miscarriages - testing every morning and panicking that the lines weren't dark enough. My lines were similar to yours at this stage and my little girl is now 10 months old.

Have they booked you in for a scan at 6 weeks due to previously having a miscarriage?

InDreamland · 10/02/2021 12:13

Your line has got darker which is a positive. Also, they are different tests so sensitivity may be different? If you're going to compare lines I'd do it with the same tests.

Is this a normal thing they do? I had 2 miscarriages before my first and was never offered an early scan

Thanks everyone, I know I'm only causing myself anxiety & problems, its early days & I know I have absolutely no way of telling what will or wont happen!

I just panic at every symptom or lack of, my poor boobs are being squeezed at every opportunity to see if they still hurt, every cramp, checking constantly if there is any coloured discharge or blood, i do it all!

@SnooperTrooper12345

I'm not sure if it's a normal thing to be honest, but when I rang up to say I was pregnant, I told them I had had 2 miscarriages in the last 6 months and they booked me in for one at 6 weeks x

That's all completely normal! Especially after a miscarriage. Please don't worry if your symptoms disappear though. It doesn't mean anything at all. My symptoms have always come and gone. Sometimes weeks at a time. My pregnancy after my miscarriage, every morning I'd squeeze my boobs to make sure! So I fully get it! I wish I could be more help! I'm on my 3rd pregnancy since mine and 32 weeks currently and I'm still checking for blood every time I wipe!

Thank you @SnooperTrooper12345 means a lot x

Please stop. I had dye stealers and then continued testing and they got lighter and lighter. I had a scan at 8 weeks and everything was fine. Just been for my 12 week scan and I'm actually 13 weeks. Once you've actually done the first test the line strength means absolutely nothing. As long as there is a line that's all that matters. There's such thing as the hook effect etc. Please don't worry OP

WeavingWandering · 10/02/2021 14:55

I brought myself a set number of tests and told myself that’s it... helped to break the habit a bit.

BlueberryPancake21 · 10/02/2021 17:00

FWIW my lines never got as dark as the control line and I'm 32 weeks now so I wouldn't worry too much. You've got a really good dark line there!

I had 2MC before this PG and I know how scary it is, especially when you feel it's your last chance. I really do feel for you - the waiting is so hard.

My boobs were only sore for about 2 weeks and not that sore anyway. They also barely grew in the 1st trimester - daily boob checks stressed me out so much in the early days and I was convinced something was wrong. Like someone else said I'm still checking for blood every day at 32 weeks... it's just something I do now. I could do quality control for Andrex I've inspected that much loo roll!

Could you think about a scan at about 7 weeks even if private? Past your 6 week cutoff from last PG and when you're likely to be able to hear a heartbeat? It might help you to have something to focus on. (Noting that the reassurance from scans typically lasts about 24 hours for me - it's more that having a date in the diary helps me feel like I've got a plan and am doing something).

Good luck! There's a thread on here somewhere that I see pop up with positive over 40 stories that might be helpful - there are loads of ladies posting in there and there are definitely lots of success stories.
