I got a private scan on Friday past, and the baby would have been 5 weeks-ish, a follow-up pregnancy right after an early pregnancy loss in December. The sonographer was doubtful as to the viability and I can't remember if she said she couldn't identify the yolk sac or if there was something wrong with it. I have a picture but unsure how to post it? I've adjusted the contrast myself and can see a pretty clear 2-3 mm circle. Isn't that the healthy size for a yolk sac at 5wks? The circle has a clear perimeter but the inside is speckled, as the whole scan looks that way. Is it the white speckles that indicate that the pregnancy probably won't progress?
