32weeks.Putting all the creams and oils.
But noticed these.
Are they stretch marks??
It's on the side of my bump.

My mum is full of them but she only had a twin pregnancy and got massive so hoped I'd be spared with my first singleton.

Are these stretch marks? 😳

Yeah they are the start of stretch marks

swinglowsweetchariot12 · 08/02/2021 10:36

Looks like them but I have seen a lot worse. I shouldnt worry about them though some fade over time

AmIBeingTwatty · 08/02/2021 10:37

Looks like it. Xx

swinglowsweetchariot12 · 08/02/2021 10:38

And by worse I mean by size and shape only, stretch marks are not a bad thing, they have shown your body and created a human.

I was spared my stomach but under my boobs show them like yours.

Mammyofasuperbaby · 08/02/2021 10:38

All the creams and oils in the world won't really help op as weather you get stretch marks or not is mainly genetic unfortunately. However they do fade overtime and are significantly less noticeable

Tomatobear · 08/02/2021 10:44

Sorry I'm no use as my stretch marks look different to that. But those bed sheets are amazing! Can I ask where they're from? Blush

grey12 · 08/02/2021 10:46

They're more likely to fade if you take care of them early.

I've heard the very best is rosehip oil. Massage it massage it massage it!!

Chelyanne · 08/02/2021 10:47

Yes.
Creams and oils will do nothing for stretchmarks as the damage occurs in the deep layers of the skin that they can't reach. It will help improve condition the surrounding healthy skin which will improve the overall appearance and reduce itchiness.

grey12 · 08/02/2021 10:48

Stretch marks start out purple and then go to white. White ones there is nothing you can do about them..... purple ones are fresh stretch marks and can be well reduced. Maybe not completely erased.....

BubblingAlong · 08/02/2021 10:49

I don't think they are, I think they are from pulling your skin up.

SunnySideUp2020 · 08/02/2021 10:50

@Tomatobear 😁 i got them from Ikea last year. Not in the UK though ...

Thanks everyone for replying. They just look different from the ones i have fronm my teenage years that's what i wondered. But i guess they are just the beginning... ah well 😌

My teenage ones look like fork Lightning and were deep wide and purple at the time but faded to like pink/white now I'm in my 30s

My baby ones started off small and white like your but didn't develop any further

SunnySideUp2020 · 08/02/2021 10:55

@BubblingAlong

They are still there when not pulling unfortunately. And now just seen i have very similar ones on the top of belly

@grey12
I know what you mean but i am not 100% white (mixed) and my stretchmarks have never looked purple. So hoping these are still young. 🙏

@swinglowsweetchariot12

Interesting! I hope it will be the same.

I'm olive skinned and my old stretchmarks are more white than my skin, if that makes sense :p dark ones are new stretchmarks then they go more pinkish and then lighter.

grey12 · 08/02/2021 12:21

Just googled stretch marks on black skin. They definitely go white!

SnooperTrooper12345 · 08/02/2021 13:32

@SunnySideUp2020
I personally think they look more like where you've been laying.
Are they still there now?

SunnySideUp2020 · 08/02/2021 14:39

@SnooperTrooper12345 yes!
And DH just told me he noticed them last week but didn't want to upset me so didn't mention it 😑😑😑
(He doesn't care about those things)
