Anyone an expert on dating jargon here?

My last period started 3rd Jan, which I think puts me at 5(weeks)+1(day).

But, I was cycle tracking and don't think I ovulated til 22nd January? So think I'm only about 17dpo. Does that make me more like 4+3?

I've got an early scan booked for end of Feb, so know they'll try and date me anyway, but just curious!

Hi, so as you said, you're 5 weeks going by LMP which the midwife ect will go by anyway regardless if you know your ovulation date or not. And they'll go by that until your 12 week scan.
As for knowing when you ovulated, it's still a bit hard to tell because you could've fallen pregnant your first day or ovulation, or your last. So it can vary massively.
Sorry can't be much help

The NHS will treat you as based on your period until your 12 week scan, and at that point you'll be given your date. As you know you ovulated later you'll know not the be concerned if they're measuring you at 11 weeks when you've been calculated at 12! Smile I don't think the NHS would take the dates from a private scan as they don't have any assurances over the quality of the sonographer.

yes as others have said, your first day of pregnancy will be 3rd Jan (last missed period). at your 12 week scan (NHS scan) your dates may be adjusted according to the size of the foetus. mine was adjusted by one day. Ovulation dates aren't taken into account.
