Hello lady's,
I was wondering what week your bumps started showing? Thought it would be interesting

Pretty early on was in mat jeans before 12 weeks more due to bloating. More than a food baby about 16 weeks, a good baby bump 22-24 weeks

FTM91 · 07/02/2021 20:26

20 weeks here and I'm just starting to notice it. Not sure if a stranger would yet though (first baby)

Mamabearwhere · 07/02/2021 20:28

Third baby and I have a bump at 7 weeks. It’s crazy and probably mostly bloat but it’s an actual bump and no way of hiding it!

MintGreenLife · 07/02/2021 20:43

I’m 15 weeks with my first and I have the start of a bump ☺️ I took a photo at 11 weeks and again today and can see a big difference. I’m only 5’1 though and have narrow hips, so makes sense to be showing quite early as nowhere for everything to grow except outwards!

PlanBea · 07/02/2021 21:31

I took a picture every week from 10 weeks, the first point it looked definitely like a "bump" rather than bloating I'd say was 19 weeks. I was very bloated at first (in maternity leggings from about 10 weeks 😬) so it's a bit hard to tell!

Moominmiss · 07/02/2021 21:47

4th baby here and at 7 weeks I have a decent size bloat bump! Lol.

Will 100% be in maternity jeans before my 12 week scan!

My first I didn’t show until around 14 weeks

noblegreenk · 07/02/2021 22:04

I had a pretty decent bump at 9 weeks. My uncle noticed and he's very much a proper man's man who I didn't think would. When i had my 12 week scan and went public at work, no one was shocked as they'd all been gossiping about my blatant bump for a few weeks!

Exactly the same with me in 5,1 and slim built, I'm nearly 7 weeks now tho so never know when it will show but the bloating is there x

I was really bloated up until about 16 weeks, after which my 'bump' went down! With DC1 I was in normal jeans until 26 weeks. I went out one night at 26 weeks in pre-pregnancy clothes and on the train journey home had to pop a bobble through the button hole as I was really uncomfortable. The next morning my bump was huge! It was as if baby was saying "nope, not having anymore constraining"!

With DC2, I was still in normal clothes until about 22 weeks.

I noticed the bump when naked a bit earlier though.

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 07/02/2021 23:10

28! I’m not fat just apparently had good stomach muscles! I measured s at every midwife appointment so had growth scans and baby was always bang on average. He was born a very average 7lb 4 at 40 weeks!

IDontDrinkTea · 07/02/2021 23:12

Strangers were able to tell at 16 weeks. I’m very slim built though, so there’s not really anywhere to hide it.

DreamingInColours · 07/02/2021 23:19

About 16 weeks when it was a real bump. I'm slim and 5 ft 7.

PFin · 08/02/2021 03:59

Id say about 16 weeks it started to look like a wee bump and not bloat to me. For others to notice defo around 22 or so weeks.

Opalfruits2 · 08/02/2021 05:55

I’m 14 weeks at the moment. I also have a back facing uterus so dunno if that’s why I have no bump yet (just chunk).... I am 5’8 and I was slightly shocked to find out my BMI is 30.1 at my booking appointment. Never been that before and definitely piled some pounds on during lockdowns 1, 2 and 3 Grin it is our first so I don’t think I’ll show til I’m ready to pop Hmm reading these 28 weeks sounds soo late to show!

12wk scan the sonographer put on the notes ‘difficult to see due to mothers tissue density’ OMG. Probs a completely normal thing to put to them, obvs I took that to mean I am a whale

SnooperTrooper12345 · 08/02/2021 08:16

Was in my normal jeans until 32 weeks with my first, people couldn't tell I was pregnant.
My next 2, I was noticeable pregnant to others by around 25 weeks

MintGreenLife · 08/02/2021 08:41

At 15 weeks there’s no way I could get into my jeans now 😂 I’m normally a size 8 but have just ordered some size 12 leggings to try and bridge the gap between normal clothes and maternity clothes. So tricky at the in between stage!

DelurkingAJ · 08/02/2021 08:43

DS1 about 22 weeks but in normal clothing until about 24 weeks (5’10” and a size 12). DS2 I was complaining about my clothes being all wrong before I’d registered I was pregnant and looked pregnant at about 12 weeks.

SenoraSurf · 08/02/2021 10:38

The bloat is horrendous and I'm back in my maternity jeans already at 6 weeks. Can't bare the waistbands on my stomach at all.

Edelweiss2020 · 08/02/2021 13:28

I’m currently almost 23 weeks and other people can only notice if I’m wearing a t shirt, and even then it’s still questionable whether it’s baby or too much cake 😂 Still easily hideable underneath a hoodie, but looks like a proper bump if I’m laid down.

Little one wiggles around enough though and was measuring fine at 20 weeks so I’m not worried. Before pregnancy I was very active and was doing powerlifting training almost daily (not at the moment though!) so I think my stomach muscles are helping to hide the baby 😂

Kowhai13 · 08/02/2021 14:53

Im 16 weeks and only a small bump in the morning but its usually pretty big in the evening which I think is down to bloat more than baby.
My friend said bump can get bigger during the day as sinks in a bit while you sleep but not sure if thats true??

Newfor2021 · 08/02/2021 14:59

Two photos are of me at 10 weeks 4 days, the other pic was 3 days later - after I miscarried.

I took the pic after as I was shocked by how much of my bump I’d immediately lost, I even felt it straight after in the hospital yet at 10 weeks something I shouldn’t of had much of a bump if anything!

I’ve told myself, my body and the little being was just making sure I’m ready to stretch for when the next pregnancy happens and that the little being wanted to make a big impact in their short time in my belly Flowers

I'm 18 + 5 and I'm just about getting a bump that's visible to other people when I'm clothed... But it's very much a 'is she pregnant or did she eat loads of cake in lockdown?' kind of bump. I'm 5'4 size 10, 1st pregnancy.

@mintgreenlife I tried that, but then sent them back and ordered these instead www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.0811715001.html

They are so comfy. You can roll down the stretchy top until your bump is bigger. And I figured I'd get some wear out of them after the baby arrives too.

BananaCustard85 · 08/02/2021 15:26

Oh that link doesn't work! It's h&m Mamma Joggers

Fingers crossed this one does.

hayjt24 · 08/02/2021 15:36

I started to show around 18 weeks and baby is my first, im now 20 weeks on Wednesday and the bump is definitely growing and becoming more noticeable 😊

mistletoeandsigh · 08/02/2021 15:45

Obvious to me from about 10 weeks, but others only started mentioning it when I was about 4.5-5 months
