Any midwives out there?

Hello quick question, midwives are you allowed to accept cards and gifts during Covid times or am I wasting my time. I’ve had my baby a few days ago and want to drop in a gift to to the receptionist to pass in. Would this be allowed?

Hello,

Cards are definitely still allowed. Gifts are more complicated.... we’re not really allowed to accept anything of value even in normal times. Now we can’t have anything that would typically be shared - eg before we’d often get given chocolates which we’d put in the office for all staff to dip into, whereas now that’s not allowed for obvious reasons.

To be honest, I always prefer a heartfelt card to a gift anyway. I keep every card I’ve ever received, and my favourite ones are the ones with a photo of the baby in Smile

@IDontDrinkTea that’s great thank you! So pleased you said that as I’ve ordered cards of moonpig with a picture of my baby on. Thank you for responding ❤️
