Last week I had a scan which showed I had an ectopic pregnancy in my left tube. This came after 2 weeks of testing my HCG levels and them only going up by 10 each time. They had warned me it could be a missed or an ectopic. So after the scan they rushed me into surgery because of the amount of blood in my pelvic area. They tried to do Key hole but due to having alot of scar tissue from having my bladder removed 5 years ago my tubes, womb , overies and gall bladder were adhered to my bowel. So they stopped the surgery as they couldn't take out the tube like they needed to as it would of caused perforation and bowel to leak into my abdominal cavity. So they put me on a PCA and Saturday they decided to try methotrexate. Then went home the Monday. Since then I've been back and fourth for bloods tests. I had to have a second methotrexate. Since then the side effects are absolutely awful. I was told to take folic acid still to help lessen the effects but it hasn't. Now I'm not sure what to do. Has any else been through this? What helped with the side effects? I now also need to wait for a referral to a specialist as this is now the 3rd baby I have lost 😔
