bleeding in pregnancy

Hi all i really need your advice/stories,

I am 4.5 weeks pregnant and when i wiped down there i saw 2 tiny spots of blood in the discharge. I get the occasional mild cramps

I have had a previous miscarriage at 6 weeks and a termination of pregnancy at 20 weeks due to fetal abnormalities .

@Kayleighb not really - very gentles cramps/twinges but definitely nothing painful. For most of it I was at work and stood on my feet all day so there wasn’t a great deal of physical discomfort, the spotting/brown discharge was my main symptom. Hope you’re doing ok x

Have you contacted the EPU?
Or call the NHS helpline if you're in the UK.
They should be able to advise. But unfortunately they usually tell you to sit and wait it out as there's nothing they can do.

Has the bleeding got any worse or turned red?

Hi all i've booked a private ultrasound I have it in a few hours but I am very sure that I'm losing this baby again . I really don't understand why it's so fucking hard to get pregnant stay pregnant and deliver a healthy baby 💔💔💔

@Kayleighb i will let you know i have 2 hours until my scan and i am preparing for the worst . Life is not fucking fair all i want is a healthy baby . i honestly can't take it any more i give up

I’m currently 11 weeks and 6 days.

It began yesterday afternoon when I went to the toilet. I wiped and it was light pink. I immediately phone my early pregnancy unit (2pm) to then be told that all the midwives/nurses where busy and would try and contact me as soon as possible. I then received a phone call at 17:05 from a nurse. I talked her through what had been going on, and she said that due to it being light pink and not that much blood, they are not concerned and I did not need to come and get checked out. This morning I then woke up, and went to the toilet, to then find it was a brown ish colour when wiping. I then tried to ring the early pregnancy unit once again to be hung up on. Then tried 7 more times to it then being a “busy line”. Nipped the the toilet once again to then wipe and it be red blood. No one seems to be answering, not even my GP. What should I do now! I’m extremely worried.

Ps: on the 8th (a few days ago) I had an appointment at my birthing centre for some bloods to be took, they also gave me a flu vaccination. I then received a text message off my GP telling me they had detected a bug. And they proceeded to ask if I had any Simptoms of a UTI I told them that I had been doing to the toilet more often, they then proceeded to prescribe me amoxicillin to take for 5 days. I started taking them this morning. I’m not sure if the bleeding is because of the UTI or something else.

In my previous pregnancy (DD 18 months) I had a brown bleed at 8 weeks and a huge red blood bleed at 10 weeks (sorry tmi - blood was pissing out of me). I know it won't always be the case but everything was fine both times.

I have my 12 week dating scan on Tuesday, which the midwife told me to attend as normal and we will check everything then. I’m just so worried. This is my first and I really don’t want this to be the end X

The day after I called the EPU, I had started to bleed more, with cramps. But then it would go back to the light pink ish colour.

Wo @ken up this morning with the worst cramping ever, followed by lots of red blood and a few blood clots. Immediately called EPU which I was advised to if bleeding was getting worse. They booked me in for an appointment at the gynaecology and breast care ward at 09:30 in the morning.

Pains are like my menstrual periods, as is the blood. Getting more worried now as I feel like this is the end.

Unfortunately, it was confirmed as a miscarriage.
Still having blood clots and extremely painful cramps. They have advised to take paracetamol and ibuprofen but nothing is working.

Any advise on how to ease the pains would be helpful. Xx

Sorry to hear that maybe a hot water bottle would help?

I’m currently 6weeks pregnant. I’ve had 3 children and then 5 miscarriages between 2018-2019 and found out I was pregnant at 5 weeks 2 days went for a scan as under Epac and seen a sac and no heart beat on baby as far to early so had a scan booked for 8th but then started bleeding light brown only when I wiped then turned dark red then greyish brown and now I can feel blood passing through after I wee but no huge clots it’s on and off but light blood stil ther wen I go to the bathroom. Don’t no with it’s a miscarriage. Feels different after having 5. I will let you know on Friday I go for my scan at 10:15. I hope it’s good news but god knows. Nervous as hell. Anyone had similar experience

This is my first pregnancy and I’m 5+2 but yesterday (after sexual pleasure for myself) I started noticing light red bleeding but it quickly turned dark red. Going on 12+ hours. Should I be worried?
