Hey all.

Just wondering if anyone can advise me or has been through anything similar to what I’m experiencing?

I have bled throughout my pregnancy pretty much day 1 - week 11 then it seemed to stop but randomly started again week 14 and has been light red / pink spotting. I’ve had numerous private scans as well as the routine 12 week and my baby girl has always been fine and has a strong heartbeat. Also told I have anterior placenta although I don’t think this should cause any bleeding.

A few days ago 17+2 I bled so heavy my midwife told me to go A&E, I had cervical examination and no signs of anything bad there- cervix was closed. Heartbeat detected on scan and no signs of obvious bleeding- told to rest up as much as possible and that it may be coming from my placenta.

Bleeding stopped until this morning and I can’t help but worry!

Would you class this as spotting or bleeding? This is every time I wipe now and also the toilet bowl is the same colour.

Any help appreciated or similar stories about bleeding throughout pregnancy 💖

Hi

I am almost 11 weeks and just experienced the same type of bleed last night. It's so scary isn't it ☹️

Hopefully you will be alright as you have experienced it throughout and the checks have proven your little one is OK. 😊 It doesn't make it less worrying though, I'm preparing myself for the worst next week (I have just posted about my experience).

Hope you get some answers soon x

You poor thing. I would class that as bleeding, especially as it’s colouring the toilet bowl too.

Are you going to call your midwife again ?

BumpBabe · 07/02/2021 09:05

Hi @Indipops2021
Bless you, have you been for any private scans or anything as of yet? I’ll try find your post but I’m new to this! Literally made my account this week so still getting to grips with it 🤦🏼‍♀️

I’ll try keep this thread updated as I know there will probably be other people who have had bleeding and it’s such a horrid, worrying experience.

Hope you’re okay, wishing you a healthy pregnancy girl xx

Hey @WalkingMeAway

I thought the same but wanted to get others opinion, I hate to think I’m wasting midwifes/ GP’s time because I know there’s people worse off but then I think my little one is so precious and obviously I want to know things are fine 😫

I need to call early pregnancy unit today to get my swab results so I’m going to mention to them I’m now bleeding again and concerned about it🥺 fingers crossed everything will be fine xx

That’s definitely bleeding rather than spotting so I’d definitely not feel bad at all about getting checked again. I’m hoping it’s all okay for you still as you’ve had redo g before and all okay. But best to check and follow up those swabs etc.

@BumpBabe

Thank you! No I have a scan booked for Tuesday so I just thought I may as well just wait until then. I am dreading it!

Hope everything goes well with you and your baby xx

BumpBabe · 07/02/2021 09:21

Thanks @Isadora2007 I’m going to give them a call and try get checked again.
The problem with bleeding is there’s very rarely ever a diagnosis which is frustrating!

Thank you for your well wishes x

@Indipops2021 I remember being nervous but you’ll be absolutely fine, you’ll leave there with a beaming smile on your face! 🥰(Under the annoying mask) x

I just called early pregnancy unit at the hospital and my swabs taken Wednesday all came back fine!

The nurse has advised me that the morning will always seem worse because you have been laying down overnight blood has gathered so looks worse first thing but if it’s like this all day every time then I should call back!

Hope this may help anyone else having similar too x
