Reduced fetal movements - worried

I've been having reduced fetal movements for almost a week and a half. When I say reduced I mean I've gone from sometimes feeling 19 -20 movements in an hour sometimes to feeling 2 or 3 at best.
I'm 32 weeks pregnant now.
I've been in 4 times this week after not feeling baby move. All 4 times the baby has moved a few times that I could feel (not including hiccups) and the non stress test has come back as fine and they have been happy to send me home, saying I might just be too busy to feel them.
I can honestly say nothing has changed that has made me busy in the last few weeks, if anything the paranoia has made me slow down.
I had a scan which measured fluid around the baby was slightly raised but still within normal range.
I honestly feel like I'm going mad or turning into a hypochondriac.
I used to love lying in bed before I had to get up and feeling all the baby's different wiggles but honestly I've been awake since 4:15 today and felt to very weak kicks.
I'm going back in today but I feel it all seems a waste of time...I will get a couple of movements and they will send me home. If not they will poke baby and get me to drink ice water until he moves, then back home.

I just want a hand hold or mayne someone to tell me they had this and it was all ok, I'm absolutely terrified I am going to wake up one day and the movements will havr slowed to a stop and there is nothing I can do about it.
Thanks for reading.

@shenanigans5

Oh bore off mouldy with your preachy crap- I’m sure we’re all delighted to hear that you have no issue telling HCPs they’re wrong but given that we’re all different and it’s not you in this situation it’s totally irrelevant to Op, who is finding this a challenge to manage. Christ, this place sometimes.
Thank you for my laugh for the day

Just the one laugh a day mouldy? Hope you enjoyed it.

It IS hard to not feel like you’re being a bit of a pest and it’s normal to not want to seem like “that patient”. But rest assured that the advice is to keep being seen and keep reporting what is happening as your perception of movements is the only indicator for them just now to know what your baby is doing. Don’t be afraid to ask to see the consultant to discuss your options and ask for a plan- or to ask what the CTGs are showing. Is the baby’s heart rate moving alongside movements in a nice and reassuring manner? When they scan can they see movements that you’re not picking up on? (You’d be amazed at the discrepancy between movement and feeling movement- one study showed some mums only felt 30% of the movements while others were 80%). But regardless for you things HAVE changed and it’s vital they take that seriously. I’m assuming you do not smoke, you’ve checked your carbon monoxide monitors and don’t take any medication that causes sleepiness etc?

Yes. Far too cold hearted for more than one.

Hi all, thanks so much for replies! CTG fine, have a doppler scan tomorrow then a growth scan on Tuesday with follow up if needs be. Feel so relieved they are looking at it properly, even if it (hopefully) turns out to be nothing.
Not sure why its 2 scans one day after each other but I'm more than happy to take whatever I am offered if it might shed some light on why its all changed so quickly.

That’s great OP, I’m pleased you’re happy with the plan of action Smile

@Starlive23 will one scan be the placenta and the other a growth of the baby, they tend to do those separately? Glad it's being looked into though good luck xx

Starlive23 · 07/02/2021 19:00

@sarah yes thats it exactly I think, one is for doppler and lv it says ( i think the lv is liquid?) Then the one the day after days growth scan. Really hope it shows all is well, the CTG earlier was unreactive but they said at 32 weeks that can sometimes happen because baby is asleep but I will havr ctg again tomorrow so if that one is the same then its a bit of a red flag, if not ot might be that baby was sleeping.

Stress! But so glad I am being monitored at least, hope it gives some answers.
