Was your gender prediction NHS scan correct

Hi all I know This has been asked before, I had my 20 week scan Friday and having been told a girl after two boys I can’t quite believe it. The sonographer very clearly showed the girlie line and nothing sticking unlike my boys. Having had two boys I know they are fairly obvious to spot even for the untrained eye.

My partner has agreed it’s looked very different from our sons but I have seen that they can be wrong with girls. The sonographer didn’t give me any reason to doubt the gender she seemed very sure.

First time girl mummy wanting to go crazy buying girlie clothing but then wondering if I could baby still turn out to be a boy.

I had a girl last year after two boys. I was convinced the sonographer had got it wrong at the twenty week scan as I just assumed I'd be having another boy! I had a planned home birth (the best ever) and was still surprised when she was born. I'm still surprised 8 months on!!! Grin Congratulations on your pregnancy.

Congratulations. Both of mine were correct. However I needed extra scans with both so every time I asked them to check- even if that wasn’t what they were looking at!

i know someone who was going to have twins. she was told both are girls. at the end one of them was a boy.

With DD, the 20 week scan said she was probably a boy. We had a private scan a couple of weeks later in order to manage the expectations of 2 year old DS, who was desperate for a brother.

Both correct in my case but why not book a private scan just to reassure yourself and allow yourself to enjoy your lovely news

16 week private gender scan and 20 week NHS scan both correct in my case. Even on the 16 week scan it was very obvious even to my untrained eye that she was a she! 😁

Hey!
So my first, I was told was a girl from my 20 week scan, right through until a 40 week growth scan where she said "You said they told you a girl? That looks like a boy to me"
I now have a 7 year old boy.
My second, they couldn't tell well enough at my 20 week scan and were only 60% sure at a 36 week scan that it was a girl. 😂

All three of mine were right. They do get it wrong sometimes, but not that often.

Thank you all for your lovely responses, I would love a private scan but they seems to have stopped in my area unless for a medical need.

I am prob doubting it because I’m so used to boys and It’s hard to get my head around xox
