20min slot for first midwife appointment?

I’ve only been given a 20 min appointment for my first midwife appointment for when I am 7 and a bit week.

Do you think this could be the booking in appointment. Feels to short. The lady was no help on the phone when I rang to ask.

What do you think? What else could it be?

Seems to depend on whether you complete the questionnaire separately or do it with the midwife by the sounds of it.

Thanks everyone. I’ve sent the doctors a message. If it is the case I haven’t been given any forms to fill out prior.

I don’t want to waste my time as getting time off work is difficult.

As for only being 7 weeks. They know this and they gave me the appointment for this date.

So where I am you self refer, which I did as soon as I found out, had a call last week where the midwife went through the basics, she has booked me in for the initial call with a midwife this week and said it will take 30 mins. She also sent the blood forms out and my 13 week scan form.

Mine was an hour and a half and I was 9 weeks. This was pre Covid though.

I had an hour on the phone with the midwife this morning and a further hour this afternoon for bloods, urine and any questions I had. I live quite rural though and they possibly aren't that busy so might have been able to give more time. I'm 7+6.
