Pink tinge when wiping 11 weeks

Hi all,
I'm just hoping for any advice. I'm 11 weeks tomorrow. Had a private scan at 8+1 and saw strong heartbeat.
Today when wiping I have very faint pink.
Tried ringing midwives but realise they shit at 4pm so will have to wait till tomorrow now.
Could this just be something else other than the worse? I have had kind of UTI symptoms the last few days - no burning or urgent need but feel like I have to force myself to wee. Also found a dermoid cyst on my private scan.
Just looking for some guidance really! I've booked a private scan for Monday.

I had bleeding at various times between 5 weeks and 10 weeks, so far so good. Had an emergency scan after the bleed at 10+2 and baby was fine, blood wasn't from in the womb. Having my 12 week scan next week 😊

Talking to the GP and drs at hospital and bleeding can be common for some women and looking through the forums a lot of people have it too.

Hopefully the midwives will be able to help and good luck with the rest of your pregnancy 😊

Try not to panic, there are a whole bunch of things that can cause spotting in early pregnancy, I had spotting with both my pregnancies which was fine. Give midwife a call tomorrow morning, they may offer you another scan in early pregnancy unit. Alternatively you could pay for a private scan if you have the means to.

Call hospital early pregnancy unit. You might need antibiotics for uti. Ask for their advice.

I had bleeding throughout both of my pregnancies, and they are very healthy adults now. Minor bleeding is very, very common. I was told it's often because your cervix becomes very vascular during pregnancy and tiny vessels can burst. I really wouldn't worry at this point.

Thankyou so much everyone. I'm going to try and relax (easier said that done!) ring the midwife in the morning. I think it would be a good idea to get tested for UTI if possible.
Private scan booked regardless on Monday for my peace of mind.
This is my first pregnancy so overthinking everything!

@ame88 I had bleeding at 10 weeks, am now 15 weeks. Turned out I have a polyp on my cervix and that’s what was causing the spotting. In many cases light bleeding/spotting can be completely harmless, but definitely worth getting checked out if you can, although I had spotting for 3 days until EPU agreed to see me x

Hi @ame88

I had a bit of pink/brown when I wiped at 8, 11 and 21 weeks.

I completely freaked out each time (my first baby too!).

Cause at 8 weeks was old blood from an ovarian cyst. Second pinky blood at 11 weeks was unexplained, as was the one at 21 weeks.

The 11 week one happened on a Fri evening so had two days of complete panic and then a private scan on the monday where I saw the baby wriggling away!

The one at 21 weeks (3 weeks ago), I called the unit & they didn’t even ask to see me. The consultant said to wear a pad to monitor & if I had any pain/heavier bleeding to call straight away. They offered me to go in to hear the heartbeat for reassurance but was still feeling baby move & as long as the consultant wasn’t worried then knew I shouldn’t be.

Please try not to worry. Good to get checked out on Monday but it could be caused by a number of reasons.

Hope you manage to relax xxx
