10weeks today and for the last 7 days I have been feeling less nausea and stopped throwing up it's got me in a horrible state , I have booked a private scan for tomorrow I did see my baby at 8 and half weeks and seem heart beat flickering. Pregnancy is just one big worry for me everyday

Welcome to motherhood... The worry never stops :) it's perfectly normal for symptoms to fade as you get further through pregnancy, I wouldn't worry.

I think I read the placenta starts to take over around now and is much more “efficient” than the baby getting all its nutrients from the egg yolk and calms your hormones down so I think this is why you start to feel a little better by the end of the first trimester.

I'm the same as you op. In my last pregnancy I had more private scans than I care to remember because I was so worried. Currently 14 weeks with #2- how do I know the baby isn't dead? Can't see it, can't feel it? I don't know how people can be relaxed about it, I'm constantly on edge.

I literally could have written your post when I was pregnant with DS - I had private scans at 8, 10, 14 and 17 weeks. My symptoms kept fading and then coming back with a vengeance in my first trimester which worried me massively.

I'm sure it will all be okay for you OP, good luck Flowers

Totally normal, placenta takes over about now so symptoms are likely to disappear. Glad scan was okay

PotatoesPastaAndBread · 07/02/2021 16:25

That's great OP. Hope you stay well.

I've had two scans and got another one this week, fingers crossed.

Symptoms disappearing don't mean anything by themselves
