If we go by my last period 18 December 2020, how far along am I?

7 weeks using 18th december as day 1 x

You just count the weeks from 18th December to today.
Puts you 7 weeks.

My lmp was 21st December but I know when I ovulated as I temp.
I’ve had 2 scans now, both are bang on with my ovulation date and I am 6+5 today.

So as the PP’s said you would be 7 weeks exactly based on your lmp.

Thanks lovelies. I asked because when I used an online calculator it counted me at 6+1. Then midwife called be and calculated it the same as you all x

I mean the dates may well be out as it will depend on when you actually ovulated, but for now the midwife will go by your lmp until you have your dating scan x

Like OP said midwives always work it out from 1st day of last period.
You will get an official estimated due date when you have your dating scan.

It also depends how long/regular are your cycles.
But it looks like you are currently 7 weeks.

That’s what the calculator online used, my cycle length and LMP and it gives me 6+3 today. Yeah guess we’ll see when I get scanned hopefully x

Ah, if you've got a really long cycle length then the calculators knock days off. The average person ovulates 14 days before the end of their cycle and this is what really determines your DD so if you've got a 35 day cycle it'll knock a week off. If yours is giving you Alan EDD of 6 days late I'm guessing you put 34 day cycles into the calculator?

Sorry, 32 days if it's knocking 4 days off the LMP estimate

My LMP was 18th Dec and I have a 30 day cycle. My app puts me at 6 weeks 7 days but I tracked ovulation so not sure if that has influenced the weeks indicator at all. EDD 26th September at the moment. Congratulations!
