Weight is fine but they are still concerned?

I’ve attached a picture of the growth chart so it makes it easier to explain. As you can see so far I’ve had 3 growth scans. The first one, all was fine and was told baby is measuring larger than average. The second, they said they weren’t really concerned but wanted me back 3 weeks later for another scan. Then the third was yesterday (I was 35+2) The doctor said I have to come back in 2 weeks for another growth scan and depending on the growth chart, they will start talks about inducing me early. They told me that baby is approximately weighing 6lb 4oz, and when I’ve had a google, this is average for a baby at this gestation, possibly even a little above average. They never explained why they are concerned, but I didn’t ask either as I think I was a little overwhelmed with the induction comment. Has anyone else experienced this or have any ideas why the concern?

I think the concern might be that the weight isn't following the trendline that they would expect and is moving further from the top line and more towards the central line. So while the actual weight isn't concerning (you're right in that 6lb ish is perfectly normal for that gestation), if the weight is slowly tracking away from that top trendline that it was closest to at your first measurement it indicates that the weight isn't increasing at the rate at which the doctors would expect.
Hope that makes sense!

@Riggles78 Thank you that does make sense! They said everything else was normal with the scan it was just the talk of inducing me early that threw me a little😬 Thanks again!
