@Thefaceofboe I'm 4wks today and all week I've been up from 3am, but I'm shattered!!

PedrosPony · 05/02/2021 05:02

I had exactly the same thing for about a week, I was on my knees. Eventually I got back into a proper sleep pattern so hopefully it returns soon for you too x

Findingapath · 05/02/2021 05:06

Me too, 3yr old woke me up at 3ish now he is snug back to sleep and I’m still wide awake, originally worrying about mild cramps (google tells me its normal at 14 weeks) but now just unable to sleep.

Thefaceofboe · 05/02/2021 05:15

@babybumpfor2021 I really didn’t expect to feel much this early but I have the stereotypical symptoms, sore boobs, nausea, insomnia Sad hope it gets better for you soon!

@PedrosPony this is only my second morning being awake at 3am so hopefully it’s not going to carry on. I normally love my sleep and am a nightmare getting up for work so makes a change Grin

@Findingapath I’m jealous of you 3YO! how far along are you? X

Your sleep pattern will return for the majority of second trimester so enjoy it, then unfortunately insomnia will return in third - hence why I'm awake now (36weeks!)! I don't want to be getting used to sleepless nights yet, need all energy for upcoming birth!! 😂

Sauvignonblanket · 05/02/2021 05:49

This is when my audiobook habit started....it was good to have the distraction.

Thefaceofboe · 05/02/2021 05:55

@SK2970 I know I want to enjoy my months of proper sleep while I can! Although I do enjoy baths at 5.30am Grin

@Sauvignonblanket ahh yes!! Great idea. I have some downloaded actually but never have the time to listen to them

Same! Havent slept for weeks 😒 i can't remember when it wore off last time, I hope soon!

KylieKangaroo · 05/02/2021 06:24

Yes totally normal unfortunately! Enjoy the good sleep in the second trimester as in the third it all goes downhill again! I've been up most of the night unfortunately Sad

Thefaceofboe · 05/02/2021 06:29

@Amichelle84 oh poor you. I’m on day 2 and a moody, hormonal mess Grin

@KylieKangaroo I’m happy to hear it does get better though (even for just a short timeSad)

Although this is my first baby (tried for 2 and a half years) so fully loving every symptom I get. Not sure how long it will last!

KylieKangaroo · 05/02/2021 06:45

I found I actually slept better once the baby was here as you can at least get comfortable etc!

Thefaceofboe · 05/02/2021 06:47

@KylieKangaroo very true! Also dad can take over, I wish he could take some of my hot flushes and nausea right now.

I’m 21 weeks and often awake from about 3am to 6am! Or later... argh!
