Am I pregnant again?

Hey, this is my very first post so bear with ☺️.

So I had a mc in September at roughly 5 weeks. Me and my partner conceived again early this month only to have some bleeding a week later. I did a clear blue digital test and it showed 1-2, I then did another one maybe a week later and it showed 2-3. At this time I was still bleeding, I went for an early scan and the doctor said he couldn’t tell if it was a mc because I had a full bladder 😒 he said he couldn’t rule anything out.
I had bloods taken and my results showed that my HCG levels were on the lower side of things. I didn’t go back to have more bloods as the bleeding was still carrying on and I just assumed it was a loss of pregnancy.

Two weeks later, I have taken another pregnancy test. It’s showing 2-3 still.
Is this still my hormones, or could it still be a viable pregnancy?

Someone please help 😣🥺

Thank you 🧡

There is such a thing as a missed miscarriage unfortunately where the pregnancy has been lost but the hormones remain for some time.

However you can also have a perfectly healthy pregnancy and still bleed! So you should definitely go back to the GP and have another scan or at least more bloods to see if HCG has risen.

I have everything crossed for you, it can't be easy! Thanks

I have messaged my midwife hopping she can shine a light on what to do next.
Or maybe it’s just a waiting game 🤦🏻‍♀️.
Thank you for your reply 💚

Why would they not have asked you to just empty your bladder so they could do an internal scan to see better?
It’s a shame you didn’t bother going back for the second lot of bloods really, as that would have given you a much clearer picture of what was happening. Lots of women bleed in pregnancy and it turn out fine.

I hope you’re able to get some answers soon x

It was an internal scan, but he said my bladder was really full. I don't understand why he didn't ask me to empty it either, strange 😰.

I think I'm going to wait a week or so and go from there.

I'm really sorry your going through this. I'm hoping I can reassure you a little bit. I had my normal period end of November by the 20th December when my period was due I was bleeding really heavy, this was for 2 weeks straight. I went to the doctor's and that's when he told me I was pregnant. I was certain I had a miscarriage, I had no symptoms at all, I had no idea I was pregnant. He sent me for a scan the following week as the midwife at the hospital said I was either 3 weeks or 6 weeks pregnant but the chances of the baby being alive doesn't look good because I had bled heavily for so long. TMI but I didn't pass any clots or anything. A week later I got a scan and I had a healthy baby with a heartbeat measuring 6 weeks. I am now 10 weeks still spotting occasionally. I hope this eases your worries a little. Miracles can happen x

You need to go and get your bloods taken again and rule out an ectopic.

It could be almost anything tbh. I've had 7 pregnancies and lost 3. One loss my HCG was negative a week later, another was 2 weeks and another took 8 whole weeks to get to zero. So it can vary quite a bit. Similarly, you could have a pregnancy which is continuing to progress. There's no way of knowing unless you have a scan and blood work done.

Awh that's great news! I hope it's the same for me although I'm expecting the worst and hoping for the best. Fingers crossed for both of us 💚 x

Yeah I'm going to get in contact with the appropriate people and sort more bloods out. Thank you x

Hey! Yeah I got a check up today and it definitely was a miscarriage. There is still some tissue left over (sorry for the tmi) so going in for surgery on Tuesday 😒. Doctor said my womb, ovaries and everything look perfectly healthy and I have lots of follicles so fingers crossed next time will be the time 🤞🏼💙.

How are things with you?

Hi everyone,

My partner and myself are trying for a baby.
We have lost two pregnancies last year.
I saw an add pop up about 'Conceive Plus Lubricant'. I was wondering if anyone has tried it? Or has any recommendations

Thank you SmileSmile
