What is normal implantation bleeding?

This is all so new to me. This is my first pregnancy and to say I’m worried is an understatement. I’m just over four weeks, when yesterday I started spotting red blood, it was only the once. But since then I’m spotting old/brown blood with some tissue in it. It’s not mucous-like, it appears like dense blood. I’ve got blood tests arranged over the next few days but could really do with some advice. Anything would be hugely appreciated. TIA X

Pink or brown tinged discharge when you wipe for a day or two is pretty normal.
Anything heavier should be looked in to but it's not always bad new if you have more of a bleed, there can be causes that don't effect baby at all. All you can do is have the tests and hope it works out. Good luck.

Im 7+5 and the same happened to me today.
I have already spoke with the GP and they will arrange early scan for me. It’s better to check. I have been also told that it can happen ( old blood). I never been pregnant and I’m 38. It’s scary but I’m really trying to stay calm. ( not easy). I hope it will go well for you.

I didn’t get scan appointment till Friday 12 February. I still have brown discharge and my pregnancy symptoms disappeared.
I still hope for the best.
