Light bleeding at 7 weeks?

I realise I could drive myself insane because nobody is actually going to know for sure what's happening, but have other people had light bleeding at 7 weeks and had a healthy pregnancy?

I've been good so far, only very mild nausea and mildly sore boobs, very very tired and incredibly hungry.

But this morning I woke up and found I was bleeding, not very heavily but it was red blood that was there for a few wipes after going to the toilet and it panicked me. I had some very mild cramping as well, like very very light period pain, but I've been having crampy feelings off and on for a couple of weeks and apparently that's normal. The bleeding stopped about an hour after and there have been a few light streaks of brown (old blood I guess?) but no more fresh.

I called 111 when I saw the bleeding and they advised going to A&E, which I did, they did a urine sample and checked me over and booked me to go for an emergency ultrasound tomorrow.

Naturally I'm just worrying and worrying until tomorrow comes, but have any people had anything similar and it all been okay?

I bled brown at 4 weeks and again at 7. At 7, there were some red streaks and a small clot in it- this was after three scans, the most recent of which had occurred the day before, and showed a baby with a heartbeat, measuring as it should.

Early bleeding really can go either way, I'm 26 weeks now...so far so good.

My bleeding episodes were never really explained. Fingers crossed your emergency scan goes well and that all is okay and that you just have a little heart attack giver in there, like me!

I also had some cramping, not as strong as a period pain, it was my uterus stretching, I used to get it around the same time every night in the first few weeks.

I've had both. Once light bleeding at 6 weeks and baby is now 5. Once bleeding at 6weeks and ended in a miscarriage in December. I'd try and get an appointment at an epu for a scan. If you have pain it could also be ectopic. Good luck.

Thanks, A&E assessed me and said from my symptoms they're reasonably satisfied it's not ectopic as the bleeding was light and there isn't much pain, but I've got a scan tomorrow to check just in case :)

I had this is all three of my healthy pregnancies with no known cause.

All the best for tomorrow x

I had red/pink blood at 6-7 weeks that was only there when wiping and then turned brown. Had it with all 4 pregnancies.
3 of which have been healthy pregnancies and after a scan for all of them, they said it was probably from the baby burrowing deeper

It's terrifying but try not to lose hope. Good luck

I've only had more than implantation bleed in unsuccessful pregnancies. My most recent mc I had spotting at 7 weeks, a scan at 8+3 which showed baby with hb measuring 7+4. I started spotting again at 9wk, EPAU wouldn't scan me for 4 days, bleeding got heavier over the next few days. I kept hoping all would be fine but when I got large I knew it was not going to work out, I passed baby at 9+3wk in it's sac. Hard to take but I'm 11+5wk atm and this one is going well so far, I'll soon be having my dating scan.

I had spotting at 7 weeks for a day or two, then a scan at 8 weeks and it turned out I was pregnant with twins! No cause of the bleeding was visible. I was convinced I would lose the pregnancy, partly because (TMI sorry) it smelt like a period. I'm now 3w weeks!

I had heavy bleeding with my first. More than a heavy period. At 12 weeks. Went on to have a healthy baby. Everyone s different though. Good luck OP.

Scan happened this morning, we have a totally normal 7 week little kidney bean with a very strong heartbeat and no obvious cause for alarm. Phew!!
