I know coccyx pain is normal in pregnancy but ouch!!! Anyone got any tips or tricks for getting through the day? I move as much as I can but I have a desk job and if I'm not at my desk I'm not working

I had terrible pain for weeks. I brought a memory foam donut shaped cushion to sit on whilst at my desk. It helped with the pain but didnt relieve it fully though

I had coccyx pain early on but had an injury previously. Early on baby is very low so lots of pressure in your coccyx. As baby moves up it releives it a bit.

I found change your seated position helped
Sitting on coccyx cushion
Sit on gym ball.. this is really good
If you WFH, change the desk or table you sit at, stand at the kitchen counter
Take some stretching breaks
Do some yoga.. Google the coccyx ones
Walking

Also, being constipated or irregular made my coccyx pain loads worse as again it's more pressure. So try and keep things moving

I found Sitting on the sofa terrible too as your position is too slumped

I'm 24 weeks now and the coccyx pain has gone, but now it's rib pain 😂

I have had coccyx pain most of the way through (36 weeks now) and found a birthing ball to be the only help! I'd sit on it whilst working (I wfh thankfully) and it would obviously move the coccyx a bit and I didn't struggle too much for rest of the day!
Hope you find some relief, takes breath away sometimes!!

Thanks so much guys! I'm going to invest in a birthing ball I think it will come in handy!

Ahhh sympathies. I was off work for awhile in early pregnancy with me first, went back to my office job FT after a phased return aroun 20 weeks and immediately the coccyx pain began. I'd never had it before and was so confused. GP said there was nothing they could do. I had to spend as much time at work as possible standing. Every time I made a phonecall I would do it standing. Occupational health got me a coccyx cushion which made barely any difference. My DH bought be a thicker, better one online which did help. I did still have soreness until birth though and had to take my coccyx cushion with me everywhere if we were going out anywhere that I'd be sitting for more than an hour e.g. other people's houses, cinema, etc. I used it at home too or sat/lay in positions that don't put as much pressure on it, or sat on exercise ball. Since birth it completely went away, I do very occasionally get it mildly if I spend a long time sitting on particular chairs. I'm pregnant with no.2 so I'm anticipating having to get the cushion out the loft again soon.
