Hi all

I had a midwife appointment yesterday where she measured me as too big. So off I go for a growth scan today, all seemed fine then in my midwife review afterwards I was told baby isn’t growing how they’d like compared to my last scan. His measurements look bang on but in comparison to his last measurements he should be bigger. He’s estimated to be 3lb 14oz, which to me seems about right! I’m a first time mum and all of this is stressing me out a bit as it’s all new to me. Has anyone had similar experiences and baby was okay? I’m low risk, placenta is said to be feeding baby fine etc

I don't have any experience of this and I didn't want to read and run - but my suggestion to you is that if you are worried or don't understand why your health care team is worried is to call them and ask.

You are allowed to call and ask for a better explanation and some context. You do not have to sit at home worrying.

I feel for you, I really do but my best advice is to speak to your health care team - it's what they are there for.

Hey I am very early on in my pregnancy and am having twins where one baby is smaller than the other, but from what I have had to learn you should be placed on careful watch, more frequent scans to keep an eye on baby's growth and if needed baby might have to come out early, but 31+3 is already pretty great if he needs to be born early, so as long as he keeps growing and is healthy you might be able to hang in there a bit longer and if not they will induce you.

Do call them and ask for clarification and request more frequent scans to make sure everything is ok.
