Hi everyone!

I'm looking into antenatal courses as all have been suspended by my hospital, I'm torn between four at the moment:
-NCT
-Bump to baby chapter
-Birthed
-the positive birth company

As none of them is for free I don't know which one to go for, does anyone have any advice? I would like to do at least one that includes hypnobirthing but not miss out on other essential information. Thanks 😊

I did bump to baby. It was really informative- only 10 couples and done over zoom, they organised 'breakout rooms' to discuss topics and really made an effort to make it less like an online course. She also hung around afterwards if you had any personal questions. Highly recommend!

I signed up to NCT face to face as my friends locally rated it, but it has switched to online course. I haven't started it yet but hoping it is as good. We got 15% refund for being online.

I signed up for the positive birth company digital pack, and ended up getting a refund within the 14 day guarantee as it really wasn't for me. I'd bought it after people on here had raved about it so I know it suits some people, just didn't suit me at all!

A big focus with NCT is meeting other local couples with similar due dates, so you can form friendships and meet up etc once the babies are born. Obviously you get all the info too- labour and birth, pain relief options, medical interventions, post natal, infant feeding etc.
I’m currently doing NCT via Zoom. It’s a bit more awkward than doing it face to face and being able to chat naturally but we’ve already got a WhatsApp group and hoping we can meet for walks with the babies in slings and buggies, eventually go to baby groups together etc once restrictions ease.

There’s a similar thread which seems to have more feedback certainly on NCT and the Positive Birth Company. I didn’t want to just copy and paste my response here as not entirely relevant, but just in case it does help here is the link to the other thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pregnancy/4155391-Hypnobirthing-or-NCT?pg=2
