Pain in tummy

Hi,
I’m currently 17 weeks pregnant. For the last 4-5 days I have felt an uncomfortable stabbing pain that only lasts a few seconds but usually happens when I bend down or stand up from sitting or lying down. I have been reading and it sounds like round ligament pain however that is usually described as being in groin / lower abdomen area. My pains are always higher (about in line with my tummy button). Has anybody experienced this before?
I did contact my midwife yesterday to ask but she hasn’t got back to me yet.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, is this your first pregnancy?

I'm 15 weeks with my second and I'm also having these pains- I have put them down to early movement! (Google agreed!)

It’s my second pregnancy too. I had wondered if they were movements too but they feel like very big movements for such a tiny baby if they are. I dread to think how painful it could be once the baby grows bigger! With my first the kicks never felt painful.

My first never seemed to move at all!
I'm sure that's what it is (for me)

But if you have any doubts please contact your local hospital/midwife as I am just a stranger on the internet!

Thanks for your reply. I’ll call midwife again tomorrow to see what she thinks. Last time I had anterior placenta, this time posterior so perhaps it just feels different.

I’m experiencing the same however I have anterior placenta so wondering if what feels like pains behind my belly button were movements as I only feel clear movements on my side!

I’m 17+4
