Mucus plug - brown? TMI but no pic!

38+3 by hospital dates, 39 by my own.

I’ve just been to the toilet and had a brown snot like discharge. Could this be my mucus plug? There wasn’t loads of it, sort of the same amount you would expect around ovulation, but obviously brown and not clear.

I never noticed it with DC1 so have nothing to compare it to. I’ve also been having BH contractions for the past two weeks but also had these with DC1 from 36 weeks, who was over a week late.

I’m booked in for an ELCS next week so on edge about going into labour early

I realise this is a ‘how long is a piece of string’ question but was your mucus plug brown??

Hi it sounds like the mucus plug or a 'show' to me.
How are you feeling now?
Any more BH or contractions?

Yes sounds like it might be. But you can lose bits of it for a good couple of weeks before anything happens! I'm also scared to look at the toilet paper at the moment as I'm booked in for an ELCS next Wednesday!

Yeah I’m still having BH and bump is quite painful but nothing to make me feel I’m in labour IYSWIM.

And yes @SpunBodgeSquarepants the fear is real that labour will come before ELCS. Next Tuesday for me so I’ve got a week to hang on.

No more when I’ve just been to the loo so hope it’s one of those slow moving plugs you speak of
