Intense stomach cramps

On Friday i started to develop severe cramps and dizziness and I thought it was the lead up to my period (even though I dont normally have cramps at all). Then I did a test and realised I was pregnant. Severe cramps continued into Saturday and I ended up in A&E all day. As there was no bleeding, internal exam all looked fine and hCG levels looked good (4700) the obs and gynae team think that everything looks fine but will be sending me to the EPU this week or next (only 4 weeks currently). Cramps eased off today until about 7pm when it felt like I was having contractions (similar to my previous labour), but still no bleeding. Has anyone had anything like this that has continued as a viable pregnancy? We've been trying for a year after I had a fibroid tumour removed in 2109 so a bit gutting.

Hi, at the start of week 9 of my pregnancy I started with terrible pains, went to my GP and them sent to hospital, I had a scan the next day that showed all was ok but I also had an 8cm fibroid too. I was sent home and was in so much pain I almost couldn't cope! I was in oain for 8 days, couldn't do much at all and had to take low dose cocodamol on the 3 worst days. Then the day I started to feel more 'normal' I started to bleed, so again to hospital for another scan and baby is still ok. The bleed wasn't from the womb.

Try and stay positive! I really didn't think at the time that if I was in so much pain that everything eoukd be fine but so far it is!

OP I’m so sorry for your loss. I read your initial post and though ectopic. I had one in July and remember the contraction type cramps.

Wishing you a speedy recovery, physically and mentally xxx

I was in a quite a bit of pain from week 3-7, it woke me in the night. But this is my first pregnancy so can't compare to labour. I had some bleeding too at about 5w. I'm 18 weeks now. Thinking of you.
