For my first, between 20 and 24 weeks.

threestars · 30/10/2007 23:32

I'm on my 3rd pregnancy, at 17 & half weeks, but don't really want people to know yet. I am just starting to show through my clothes. OK if it's daytime and I'm sucking in my tummy non-stop, pretty obvious in the evening when I'm relaxing.
I have filled out a little bit though, so not as slim as I was! My previous pregnancies, I really can't remember though.

Browndivegirl · 31/10/2007 09:36

Am having my first and am 12 weeks pregnant. My clothes started to feel tight at about 8 weeks, particularly the ones without lycra in! Have already started to shop for maternity jeans...

bethoo · 31/10/2007 09:38

had tiny bump at 16 weeks but di not start to noticably show at about 30 weeks. got up to a size 12 from an 8.

spugs · 31/10/2007 10:00

i think you start bloating from straight away, its extra water and wind! i could tell with this one from around 8 wks as the shape of my waist had changed. proper bump from maybe 16 weeks (its my 3rd) with my first it was about 25 wks and no 2 about 18/19

goingfor3 · 31/10/2007 10:02

I'm 9 1/2 weeks pregnant and can't fit into some of my clothes already and have been like this size about 6 weeks. It is my fifth pregnancy though.

preggersagain · 31/10/2007 10:02

with twins- i had a noticable bump at 9 wks- am now 20 weeks today, look like i've swallowed a spacehopper and people automatically assume that i'm due to drop within the next few weeks

Screaminglips · 31/10/2007 10:04

i started to show properly when i was about 3 months pg....others noticed it when i was about 5-6 weeks pg.

neuroticlady · 31/10/2007 11:04

I could tell my tum looked different pretty early on: at about nine weeks. Clothes all fitted for ages but to me it looked more rounded, but I don't think anyone else would have noticed. It seemed to be bloating more than a proper 'bump'. First person to spot a little bump was when I was around 12 weeks. I felt so proud. Am now 26 weeks and bursting out of all clothes - button actually pinged off my trousers the other night. Why not take a side on pic of yourself each month so you can compare the bump? I've been doing that and it's fascinating (to me and hubby, anyway!). Good luck.

pigleychez · 31/10/2007 21:57

thanks for the replys ladies.

Today I whilst talking to my boss, she kept glancing down at my tummy , so i know that others have noticed it and its not just me imagining it

started having tighter clothes at 8 weeks... a visible bump popped out almost overnight at 13 weeks.

Idobelieveinfairies · 01/11/2007 14:42

twins are great honest!

MitfordSisters · 01/11/2007 15:18

Between 22 and 24 weeks the comments went from 'ooh, aren't you neat', to 'gosh haven't you grown'. Now frankly terrified of growing to size of small shed.

PurlyQueen · 01/11/2007 17:02

Was in maternity jeans about about 10 weeks, but really started to show at 17 weeks (this is my first)

aikigypsy · 01/11/2007 18:12

20-24 weeks, depending on the time of day (bigger in the evenings) and what I was wearing. Very definitely pregnant-looking by 28 weeks, which was a lot later than I'd thought it would be.

Kif · 01/11/2007 18:15

I was noticeably pot bellied at 6 weeks (preg with my third now). However, I think that was bloating+no stomach muscles, since I look slimmer now at 10 weeks. Slim-er - note. So i pass for 'too many pies'. It does show more as the day goes on though - odd.

BellaBear · 01/11/2007 18:18

What MitfordSisters said, word for word.

3madboys · 01/11/2007 18:38

i am 23 wks preg with no 4 and just getting a bump, i can wear my size ten jeans but with an elastic hair bobble round the top button one of the mums at school said that it looked like i was finally starting to get a bump, but that if she didnt KNOW i was preg then she wouldnt think that i was iyswim? i have been the same with all my other pregnancies. i swim alot and the physio said i had good stomach muscles (had to see her for spd) but i dont know if that really makes a difference?

i always have small bumps, but big babies, over 9lb, go figure

empen · 01/11/2007 18:44

I am sure my belly starting sticking the minute the line showed up!! About the same time I got morning sickness.
I showed really early with both mine but earlier with the second probably about 8-12 weeks. Other people could notice at around 17-18 weeks!

superwitch · 01/11/2007 18:55

I'm 8 1/2 weeks but starting to tell the last couple of days - this is no. 2

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 01/11/2007 19:24

DD1 - 24 weeks.

DS1 - 8 weeks (10 months after DD1 born).

DD2 - 8 weeks (6 months after DS1 born).

DC4 - 10 weeks and not showing yet (whopping 3 years after DD2 was born so I would hope to be fitter that for the previous 2).

Often, I think that if you are sick/feel nauseous all day, you stop holding your stomach in and you also wear looser more comfortable clothing, which makes you think you're showing early.

Heated · 01/11/2007 19:27

I could tell at about 17 weeks but other ppl couldn't tell until about 26 weeks with my first - about 2 weeks earlier in each case with my 2nd.

ShinyHappyRocketsGoingBANG · 01/11/2007 19:31

My v.skinny DSD started showing 2 weeks ago at 9 week!

Found out yesterday it's twins.. that'll be why!

Lazylou · 01/11/2007 19:31

Easily into the 8th month with DD and at 7 weeks with this one. I'm 10 weeks now and none of my trousers fit me so have had to succumb to maternity jeans which are just a tad too big still

nh101andhertwinbeans · 02/11/2007 14:16

I have a pretty big bump but it is bigger in the evenings after a big meal ie is probably mostly bloating. I am 10 weeks PG with twins. I lost a baby at 10+4 earlier this year (a singleton) and never looked PG at all. I look how I would expect to look at five months (which I've heard is quite normal with twins). I have only gained 4 pounds though so work that one out!
