Period after baby!!

Hi, I had my baby 12 weeks ago via emergnacy c section after a failed induction. I formula feed and have from the start I still have no signs of my period on the way, I’m starting to worry as read online most people not breastfeeding get there periods back quite quickly. I lost a lot of blood during the c section and was giving iron tablets but after about a week or 2 I stopped taking them (stupid I know) but have starting to take them again. I have read horror stories that being low on iron or having a c section can make you infertile, and I really want to have more babies and want to start trying again this year at some point can anyone tell me when there periods started again

After my cesarean with twins my iron was low, I finished all the tablets I was prescribed during pregnancy (I had a few months worth). I tried to bf but they were mainly formula fed. My period returned within a couple of months.

If your iron levels were very low then periods not restarting is not unexpected. I would still speak to your GP as they may want to do a blood test to check your current levels. Keep taking the tablets for now and try to avoid taking them within a couple of hours of calcium rich foods as this reduces the absorption rate of iron.
