Hi all
Just found out I have covid 19 - I am 4+4. I'm so worried about the baby. Does anyone have any experiences?

Thanks

@xem87
Covid does not affect pregnancy, so your baby is fine at such an early stage. The only time is becomes an issue is later on in pregnancy, when the baby/uterus is taking up space from the chest and may cause a slower recovery. X

Hi I had it at 12 weeks. I was fine as was my baby x

Ive had covid twice. Once at aroud 8 weeks and again at 21ish weeks. Baby all fine and im fine, it really just felt like a mild flu but obviously severity differs amoung people. Just rest, stay hydrated, take yout vitamins and dont be scared to take approved meds i.e. paracetemol when you need too. Obviously if you get to a stage where you think you might need extra asistant call straight away, midwife or a&e. Hopefully you will just have a mild case that wont effect you that much.

I tested positive for covid 3 weeks ago, I am now 8+5 was around 5+3 when I tested positive. Unfortunately my nausea & sickness started at around 6 weeks so that coincided with the virus. When speaking to my midwife and GP non of them seem alarmed I am pregnant and have had covid, I have booked a private early scan to check baby next week and reassure us. My GP said not to worry and just get plenty of rest/fluids. I started feeling much better yesterday & today. Try not to worry and take it easy ❤

@xem87 I tested positive for covid at 5 weeks and was beside myself. After isolation I went for a reassurance scan and all seemed fine. I am not 10+3 and had a scan last week at 9+6 and all was looking perfect. I hope you feel better soon

Yes my whole body ached and my legs especially at night were awful its not nice but it will get better. Keep an eye on things and trust your instincts if you feel like you need medical help seek it. I got loads of rest and kept hydrated and its definitely getting better now. Xx

How Iong did covid last for you all? I'm day 8 today and still feeling rubbish. Keep getting a temp of around 38.4 once a day. Just feel exhausted. Leg Cramps have settled but last 2 days I've been sick so I think that's morning sickness too feeling very sorry for myself ☹️

@xem87 I'm still not right 6 weeks on but the main illness lasted about 2 weeks for me. I hope you feel better soon

xem87 · 07/02/2021 19:44

Thanks @SS123456 - when did your temps stop? I think I'm feeling worse as morning sickness has kicked in too at the same time ☹️
