Gender scan experiences? Anyone ever been told wrong?

I have a boy already and really I wanted a girl this time round. Booked a gender scan at a private clinic at 18 weels and she was a bit wishy washy but did say it was a girl. At my 20 week scan sonographer said she agreed it was a girl. Now knee deep in dresses, rompers, frilly bodysuits and pink everything, im a paranoid wreck that its going to be a boy. Has anyone ever been told wrong gender?

She wasnt asking for anyones opinion on what she was planning to dress her child in. She was asking how many people have been told the wronf sex at a scan. Just because you dont agree with the reasoning doesn't mean people have the right to have a dig.

At 20wk scan we were told it was a girl. We nick-named her Pearl. At 28 weeks we treated ourselves to a 4d scan privately and could see 100% it was a boy! Promptly changed the nick name to Earl thankfully we hadn't bought much at that stage. We were told that it's much easier to be certain about it being a boy, girls genitals can sometimes be a bit confusing?!

This has just been a thing that has been playing on my mind, was bored browsing mumsnet and thought i would ask a question to pass time and find out genuine occasions its happened however, its taken a left turn. We all have our own opinions and like alot of people i will be dressing my girl in pink and dresses if I want. She starts like blue, black or putting her brothers old clothes on, fine as long as shes happy.

Following on from the post anyone had a super early gender scan for it to be wrong?
I had one today and it looks like a boy but because the pee looks abit bobbly and I can see what may be the umbilical cord faintly in the background I’m second guessing. I’m only 14+ 2 (impatient I know!) already a mum of 2 boys
