Bleeding at 9 weeks [includes picture - MNHQ]

So I’m around 9 weeks jusy come home from work and noticed blood in my pants like a brown colour ( I am aware brown may not be as bad as red) but I have had a misscarriage before and this is exactly how it started then. I will contact my midwife Monday but u till then can anyone tell me what it could be ect ?

Could just be a little old blood OP. Have you had an irritation /sex ? That can cause it.

Last time I had sex was 2/3 days ago so don’t think that would irritate it 2/3 days later but I’m not sure. I’m booked in for early scan at hospital now Tuesday but I’m just really worried cause this is how my last misscarriage started

I had exactly the same as you, just brown discharge two days from having sex. Happened a few times around 8/9 weeks. Only two days after having sex 🤷‍♀️ i panicked because I didn't know if it was the start of a miscarriage. I rang EPU and they said it's old blood and nothing to worry about. Only if the blood is bright red and heavy.
We've continued having sex as I was reassured by the hospital, and I don't get it anymore.

Unfortunately only time will tell.
Brown blood is old blood so it may be from days earlier. If the bleeding slows or stops everything could be fine, if you notice it starting to go more pink to red then it could be an early sign of a problem. I imagine you will be referred to epau, it's usually a GP who needs to do that not the midwives so it's worth calling them 1st thing tomorrow. Good luck.

I had spotting as I hit 9wk in my last pregnancy, eventually got a GP app who booked me in at epau for a scan 4 days later. Sadly that was 2 days too late for me, what made it harder was I'd had an early scan that confirmed a hb. Thankfully 11wk pregnant again and so far doing well, counting down to dating scan in 9 days.
