Line Progression On FRER?

Is it normal for line progression in FRERs to stop at around 11DPO-12DPO? Today’s test looks the same as yesterday’s test. Both done with FMU. Thoughts? Is this normal?

Will be stepping away from the tests at 15DPO, just want to make sure AF doesn’t show first Smile

Congratulations, you're pregnant!

I mean this with absolute kindness - Please stop testing and causing yourself unnecessary stress (which it is doing otherwise you wouldn't be posting it on here). You have good strong lines now. No amount of testing will change the outcome of this pregnancy and line progression really shouldn't be a thing. I wish you all the best for the rest of your pregnancy.

@RunnerGirl123 Thank you!! I know you’re right - Think I’ve made a rod for my own back with keep testing daily like this and it has made me worry unnecessarily. I’ve read so many sad stories about MCs and CPs that I think I’ve scared myself in to thinking this could happen rather than trying to be positive.

Well. OP, without wanting to sound unkind, it could happen. But testing frequently will not change that. You are pregnant so try to relax and enjoy it. I know it's difficult but hopefully everything will be fine. I mean this with the kindest of intentions.

Congratulations!

I agree that you should walk away from the tests. Congratulations and good luck.

I'm for a weekly test until 6 weeks, I've had a few CP's, get a couple of positives then a negative for af to show 1-2 weeks late. Once I get past the 6wk mark I take it that I am pregnant. Happy to be 11wks now following a mc in July and a cp, dating scan is in 10 days.

RunnerGirl123 · 30/01/2021 11:12

Focus on the positive that today you are pregnant! Everyone feels anxious after that first test, but you've also got to trust it. You've probably got a week or 2 before symptoms kick in, so try to enjoy this time before you start feeling rough!

There are lots of stories about bad outcomes online because that's what people feel they need advice about, but try to remember a successful pregnancy is much more common than miscarriages or chemical pregnancies.

Moominmiss · 30/01/2021 11:18

I totally understand your fears after suffering 4 mc’s in the past 12 months. I am currently 6 weeks and have only just stopped testing as the lines couldn’t get any darker.

But you wouldn’t necessarily expect much progression from 11-12dpo purely because the hcg should be doubling every 2 days, so you’d be better looking at 12dpo and then testing again 14 or 15dpo.

But if you can, just stop testing and try to enjoy the fact you are at this present point in time very much pregnant!

Congrats!

Thank you all! I really appreciate the kindness and also the reality check - I’m literally weeing on money which is just telling me what I already know. It sounds RIDICULOUS when I read that back!

The only reason why I tested early is because my OH was excited and I cracked! Before that I was pretty relaxed (Believe it or not). He was hugely apologetic this morning and came back from the supermarket with a massive bunch of flowers as I don’t think he realised how much this has stressed me out! I’ve been absolutely exhausted for the past few days, along with having intermittent feelings of “Pressure” in my lower stomach so I think the symptoms of higher progesterone are creeping in already which is probably a good sign!

Thanks ladies, the support/kick up the bum is much appreciated Flowers xx

@Moominmiss This is a very good point! This is what OH said this morning - That there is a lot of progression from 10dpo from today which is what I need to remember and take comfort in. Have also read that it can take 72hrs for hcg to double in some ladies too so another reason not to be stressing!

@PippityChippity how did this turn out for you

PippityChippity · 01/03/2021 17:36

@Lbyrne121 Hi, I’m now 7+6 and feeling like complete and utter crap thanks to all day nausea! Tiredness has been with me constantly for the last 4 weeks as have sore boobs. Saw a heartbeat on a scan at 6+2 so pretty well so far (Hopefully this doesn’t jinx it)!!

Please don’t get in to the same predicament as me though. I got so caught up worrying about testing and obsessing over lines. I threw them all in the bin, blocked myself from Google more than 1 hour per day and have tried to get on with my life.

@PippityChippity Great news . Hope all going well 🙂

Catconfusion · 23/07/2021 11:50

@PippityChippity I hope all is going well. Thank you so much for this thread. I was spiralling thinking my test today wasn’t much darker and now I feel better. Xx

PippityChippity · 23/07/2021 12:16

No worries - I’m genuine glad that it has helped reassure you! Just an update from me - 29 weeks pregnant today with a baby boy Grin

I suffered horrendously with 24/7 nausea in the early days but was fine by 13 weeks and even managed to get married then without feeling too grim! I’ve had a few complications thanks to a bicornuate uterus but have had fantastic care from consultants, midwives, doctors and nurses alike. Wishing you all the very best for a healthy and happy pregnancy; Try and enjoy every second and don’t let worries take the joy of this genuinely magical (If a little grim at times!) experience away from you Flowers

Aww that’s such good news @PippityChippity congratulations. Little boys are so much fun. I have a ds of 15 months. I had hyperemesis with him so I understand how horrible it can be. Well done for getting married too. I’ve been feeling sick the last few days and today nothing so I panicked that the line isn’t much darker. These are my tests. They look almost identical to yours and were taken on the same days. Anyway, good luck with the rest of the pregnancy. X
