Spotting/bleeding again :( 9 weeks

So I had some pink spotting (mixed with discharge) on Jan 23rd (8 weeks). I managed to get a private scan that evening which showed baby was okay and measuring as it should.

I had some more of the same pink spotting mixed with discharge on Mon AM. Throughout the week I’ve had blobs of pale pink discharge come and go but nothing major.

We had a scan booked for the 30th, yesterday, (booked a month ago) that we decided to go ahead with so I could reassure myself the little pink blobs were okay. Again baby measured okay (9 weeks), heart beat and saw some movement.

During dinner my DS handed me something and I bent towards him to grab it and it was very sore down below as I had obviously squished something but thought nothing more as baby should be well protected, right?

Woke up at 1am to pee and I had pink spotting again (I could tell in the moonlight that it was on the tissue before turning light on to check to give you a gauge for amount).

Woke again at 5am to pee and it had turned bright red. Same sort of amount. Could see it in the loo water.

No point sleeping so got up and put a pad on.

Some has transferred to pad (this hasn’t happened before) and it’s not light pink, it’s still red but not bright, maybe is beginning to turn brown but still red at this point. Wasn’t in water this time.

Never bled with internals with my DS. Have had 2 MCs previously.

Can this still be normal? I know from last weekend that the only option I’ll be given by 111 is to attend A&E which I don’t feel is the right thing to do. And if it is the scan that’s causing issues (but bleeding started the first time before any scans) then surely more could cause more damage? But in the same breath, it could be 3-5 weeks until I can find out if it’s okay (haven’t had my dating scan through yet).

Really really anxious.

Ah I feel for you! I had a few experiences of bleeding throughout the first 12 weeks, and also had more of a red bleed than spotting at 10 weeks. I'm now 22 weeks and can feel baby wriggling away, I know it's so scary but it doesn't always mean something bad.

Have you tried your local hospitals early pregnancy unit? When I had the bleeding at 10 weeks I rang them and they booked me in for a scan. I've seen mixed reviews on MN about EPUs and how likely they are to see you, but I was in contact with mine at least 3 times and they were really helpful every time xx

I was having brown spotting and the got a bright red bleed after attending for my 7th week scan at NHS hospital. The sonographer pushed the probe real hard on my belly when she did the scan, so I assume the red blood was from there or so. I got real scared. Panicked.
On the same day, later on, I had a scan booked at my private fertility clinic also, as I did IVF.
I explained this to my consultant there and she did a transvaginal scan and she saw all the brown stuff on the probe. Baby was fine. She decided to increase my cyclogest pessaries from 2 a day to 3 a day. This helped massively upto 12 weeks, then I stopped after that. All been ok since. I'm now bang on 36 weeks.

Unfortunately there's not much you can do other than wait. It's terrifying, good luck.

I've only had multiple incidents of spotting in my unsuccessful pregnancies.
Last one was in July. I had spotting at 6wk which was probably implantation. Then I had spotting again at 7wk which stopped. Scan at 8+3 but baby measuring 7+4 with hb. Started spotting again at 9wk and it just got heavier, passed baby in it's sac at 9+3. The risk of mc after seeing the hb are low but as I found out are still there. Currently 11wk again and had only a little pink tinged discharge at 6wk, 10 days to dating scan and I'm desperate to see how things are going in there. I decided against a private scan this time, cost an issue after Christmas but also I took the mc after seeing the hb harder than my previous ones where I'd not had scans.

Can I ask what dosage Cyclogest pessaries you're using? I have had 400mg morning and evening. After some bleeding my doctor prescribed 200mg Cyclogest in addition, early afternoon. I'm at 6 weeks.
