Stomach bug?

Going by dates I’m 7 weeks tomorrow, but feeling so unwell. On Wednesday I ended up having to rush to the loo several times and have felt completely drained over the past few days. Prior to falling unwell, I had to come off the keto diet (lost about 2 stone in 7 months) but did this slowly as soon as I found out I was pregnant. So not sure if my stomach bug has anything to do with it? Or has anyone experienced similar? I spoke to the dr on Thursday and he wasn’t that bothered just said to drink fluids and if stomach bug still about to call back in 5 days time.

Also feeling fed up as called midwife to make a booking appointment and left a voicemail yesterday and not had a reply. I appreciate how busy they are but with me feeling so rotten just worried something untoward is going on. I also had my gall bladder removed when my first baby was only 6 weeks old so not sure whether a change in diet/pregnancy hormones/lack of gallbladder has made me become unwell? It might be just a coincidence but don’t know what else to do - feeling rather sorry for myself!

Ah the keto... the problem with this diet is that your body can kind of forget how to deal with carbs if you are very strict.
Hormones can also cause havoc with digestion. If it is these factors causing it you will see it settle pretty soon.
Bug or just adjusting you need to make sure you are staying well hydrated so that it's easier to ride out.

I've been an intermittent faster for over 2 years. Most days I did 22 hour fasts with occasional extended fasts but I've had to reduce down to a 12-14 hour fasting window. My digestive system was not happy about it for weeks but has adjusted to it now.

Thank you for the reply! I did think this might be the case switching back to a normal diet. It was the longest length of time I had been on it. Funnily enough the thought of keto food makes me feel so queasy. I’ve been living off rich tea biscuits, toast and low fat yogurt as it’s the only thing I can manage for the past few days. Such a horrible feeling and reckon it’s probably a combination of both that and hormones. Hoping it passes soon.

Sounds familiar, you have to just eat what you can keep down in the 1st trimester. It does pass eventually.
I still struggle a bit when cooking food at 10+6wk.

You could call the GP who might do a stool sample to check for any infection, then you'd know one way or another. But yes could just be hormones too. I had diarrhea until about 14 weeks, then it went away and came back around 28 weeks, I'm now 31 weeks and suddenly I'm constipated instead. All without really changing my diet. And I've been told by a consultant that kind of thing is not unusual.

Dr said to give them a call in 5 days if I wasn’t better. I never had this problem with my first pregnancy but know all pregnancies are different. Just hope it goes as quickly as it came. It’s a horrible feeling as I’ve been totally reliant on my partner to care for my pre schooler as I’ve just been too unwell, normally we tag team but it’s just not been possible these past few days.
