It’s a little early but thought it would be nice to have a thread for those of us due babies in October.

I’m due DC2 on the 9th (according to online calculator) and only found out yesterday.

Anyone want to join?!

@crabette thank you, sent you a message Smile

jlj19 · 05/02/2021 17:28

@crabette thanks. I don’t feel like much of an expert haha. I’ve pm’d you Smile

Anyone still monitoring temps and heart rate?

My heart rate has dropped 11 bpm in 2 days (I maybe haven't been quite as busy as the beginning of the week).

Panicking a little - what do you think?

PumpkinEverything · 05/02/2021 21:06

I never monitored temps, and I don’t quite understand the tracking or RHR, but I have been taking a look at mine @babybumpfor2021 I just check on it once a day to see if it’s still higher than normal. I don’t think this is a good thing for us to do tho so maybe not a good idea as it will just lead to panic!

Steloubub · 06/02/2021 16:13

Hi ladies,

I found out on 28th January we are expecting a shock baby on 2nd October 2021! We have two DD aged 8 and almost 6 so seems like the first time all over again.

Was very sick with both previous pregnancies but only have slight nausea this time but no appetite and can no longer stomach chicken! X

Steloubub · 06/02/2021 16:28

@jlj19 I’m expecting a shock DC3 too dues date going on last period is 2nd October took a good few days to sink in as with my DDs we were actively trying but feel extremely blessed to be expecting another bundle this year ❀️

jlj19 · 06/02/2021 16:35

@Steloubub hi Smile congratulations! Yes it was a real shock for us too. I suspected for a few days but was in denial I think. I’m just getting my head around it now. We have DD5 and DS2 so just thought we were getting out of the baby stage!

Steloubub · 06/02/2021 16:43

@jlj19 I was a few days late but did 3 tests and they were all negative bought some clear blue and did one on the Thursday evening and straight away 2 lines! Proceeded to take another 6 tests over the following few days as I was just so shocked!! My oldest turned 8 the day before I got my BFP and my youngest is 6 in April so it’s seems like such a huge gap and like starting all over again 🀣 xx

Leonberger · 06/02/2021 17:06

Can I join please?
Got my first BFP Monday and the line has darkened since then. The second one is this morning so looking hopeful.

I’ve been panicking for a week as I’ve had a chemical pregnancy and DH won’t even think about me actually being pregnant until we have seen it on a scan Confused

No real symptoms as yet but I did have severe vomiting with my first so I’m expecting that to hit if I get that far!

Hey can I join? Just found out today that we're expecting and due in October. Period due tomorrow and did an FRER. First baby and feel excited/scared/happy! I was very shocked when that second line appeared. Hope it sticks. Congrats to everyone! Amazing!

sandsandwiches · 06/02/2021 18:47

Congratulations @heyfloyd @Leonberger & @Steloubub hope it's smooth sailing for you all. Think there are quite a few of us in the nervous early day symptom spotting phase so you are in good company!

SRyellow · 06/02/2021 18:47

Welcome and congratulations to everyone who’s just joined! Just wondering if anyone struggling with nausea? I’m 7 weeks tomorrow and this week I’ve had morning and evening nausea all week!

jlj19 · 06/02/2021 19:12

@Steloubub 🀣 yes that must be like starting again. I can’t believe I got rid of most of my maternity clothes and some other baby bits just a couple of weeks ago so have to go and buy everything again πŸ™„

Congratulations to everyone else who has joined too! My main early symptom is extreme hunger... had it with my last pregnancy too. I can’t stop eating and if I don’t eat I just feel nauseous. It drove me crazy last time.

Hope everyone is doing well and good luck 😊

Leonberger · 06/02/2021 19:27

Thanks @sandsandwiches. I think nervous may be an understatement, I had some sort of meltdown yesterday that I might miscarry and then had to give myself a shake Grin
I do feel better today though, maybe some symptoms would help but I am only 5w!

When did nausea kick in for you all?

@Steloubub My DC1 is 5 so I feel exactly the same! I also binned all of my baby stuff and have nothing! Not sure I even know what to do with a baby any more Grin

Jeiko · 06/02/2021 19:34

Hi all! I had a positive test this morning and the online calculator says due mid October. Now have to wait till Monday to call the GP.
It’s my first and we’ve been trying for a little while so pleased that it’s finally happened but also shocked at the same time x

Leonberger · 06/02/2021 20:05

Oh yes, when do we need to ring the GP? I’m only 4-5 weeks, it’s too soon isn’t it?

Jeiko · 06/02/2021 20:27

@Leonberger I honestly don’t know, I figured I’d call straight away and they can always tell me it’s too soon and when to call back. A lot of it is because I want to check if any of my medication needs to change Smile

sandsandwiches · 06/02/2021 20:55

@Leonberger sorry you're feeling so stressed, it's such an uncertain time isn't it! I've not felt nauseous yet but only 4+2 so early days, I think I'm going to wait a few weeks before think about midwife/GP etc so feel more sure I'm things but totally understand others might do that earlier!

I've got a 6&3 yr old already, I had been selling off baby bits and giving things away but DH is the more broody one (&also likes to hoard!) so has all sorts stashed in the attic! I might let him off now πŸ˜‚

sandsandwiches · 06/02/2021 20:58

Congrats @Jeiko on the bfp!

Bobs82 · 06/02/2021 21:03

Hi all. I am looking for some support/advice. Im 5 and a half weeks pregnant. Ive had 3 recurrent miscarriages since early 2020 so im quite anxious! I am taking heparin, asprin and progesterone. Having never had a baby before I dont know what is and isnt normal when pregnant! Ive been getting some period type pains (not bad just twinges) in my stomach and lower back and wondered if this is normal for this stage? Thanks in advance x

MrsBlue1986 · 06/02/2021 21:19

Hello ladies! πŸ’–

Congrats to everyone!! I am 34 from Cheshire.

I have had strong positive tests the past few days (4, weeks) and potentially due 20th October.

Unfortunately I had a chemical at 5 weeks in April 2020 and a miscarriage in August last year at 9 weeks, so this is technically my 3rd attempt (no other kids) #3rdtimelucky?

After my miscarriage last time in August i was told i had low progesterone, and this is what probably caused it, so im now taking progesterone tablets, so hopefully this one sticks!!! πŸ’–

I was in a facebook group last time which was really supportive - is anyone interested in creating a new one to join together? It was so supportive last time xxx

Bobs82 · 06/02/2021 21:31

@MrsBlue1986 sounds like we are in similar boat. Im also from Cheshire too! Would be fab to join a facebook group 😁

MrsBlue1986 · 06/02/2021 21:34

I have just made a private Facebook group called Autumn Girls 2021

I look forward to seeing you girls there !!

@Bobs82 xx

Heyfloyd · 06/02/2021 21:40

Hey @sandsandwiches @mrsblue1986 congrats all! I think @crabette is setting one up? Maybe im her to join?

MrsBlue1986 · 06/02/2021 21:48

@Heyfloyd no worries! I have set another facebook group up because there seems to be a lot of large groups at the moment 😊 xx
