Anyone in the early labor just waiting around phase?

I am so bloody fed up!

Went into hospital the other day with contractions that were quite painful and regular, found to be 2cm dilated, had two sweeps and was sent home after no progression in a few hours.

Since then I've had a bloody show and tonnes of mucus plug come out and still having the same contractions but not getting worse.

I'm so fed up and tired and sore and just want things to get going 😭

Anyone else in the just waiting around phase?!

🙋‍♀️ Me!
Mine started yesterday, today it seemed to increase but this afternoon it’s tapered off a bit. Got so excited I was going to meet baby but just deflating that it’s stopped. I was induced with my first so this is the first time going naturally.

Yep. Hello 👋

Went in yesterday with backache and reduced movements. (having had just the aching for about 24 hours already, and lost the mucus plug 24 hours before that) Found to be completely thinned out, soft and just about 1cm dilated.

No sweep done. First midwife did say they would but then another midwife took over. Not sure they can do one anyway if not dilating?

Monitor showing quite regular, big contractions.

Sent home to wait it until contractions were 2 strong ones in 10 minutes or waters broke.

Have spent all day on birth ball or walking, have walked for miles but no change. Contractions seem to get intense and every 4-6 minutes for a few hours then tail off to dull period aches again.

I'm frustrated, tired, emotional and so over the whole thing already. Doubt I'll have the energy once it comes to active labour at this stage.

I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow. Was induced at 37 weeks with my first so I've got no idea what to expect this time round. My biggest fear is induction as hospital stays make me really anxious, and during covid my partner won't be able to stay overnight with me as he did with my first.

Hello ladies!

It's horrible isn't it. It's the not knowing, could it be in a few hours, days, even another week or two? 😭

I am 38+3.

Have also spent all day on the exercise ball but nothing yet. DH not keen on the idea of trying sex as when the midwife checked me the other day she said babies head was very, very low so he is too freaked out to go in there 😂😂

If I just knew when things were going to happen I could relax a bit, it's the not knowing how long I'll be like this for that's the worst part, I feel so restless 😭

Fingers crossed for us all soon 🤞

We tried the sex this morning, can't say it was most comfortable thing however it did bring on a lot of mucusy discharge again. Thought it was my waters to start with 😂 but I've completely dried up again. Don't think I'll be trying again though lol.

Only relief I can get is in the bath. But then in my head I'm thinking discomfort is good as it's a sign of progression so I don't want to be in the bath too long!

Can't win.

I'm like this! In a way I don't want to ease the pain because the pain is a sign that things are happening! I've even refused pain killers this afternoon because I don't want them to stop. Illogical I know because if it's happening it's happening whether I pop some painkillers or not haha. But in my head the pain means something is going on!

Yep. Even trying to sleep last night I felt like I was delaying the process which is completely daft.
