Hi there, I wonder if anyone out there has experienced a similar situration to me. I had my scan yesterday, it revealed cysts in the babies left kidney. The next step is for me to go to St Mary's hospital in Manchester which has a specialist dept in this area. I don't know how dangerous the cysts are cos they don't tell you anything. They asked me if there was a history of kidney probs in the family (there isn't on either side as far as we know)
Last night I had a look on the internet and it could be one of at least 4 scenario's. The worst case scenario is Polycystic kidney disease (PKD!) which sounds awful...
The other kidney is perfoming OK so far cos theres plenty of amniotic fluid around the baby and I'm getting movement. Can anyone out there shed some light on this! You can email me here to at [email protected]
