Hi everyone! 😊

I got a positive pregnancy test on Monday morning and just wondering how the dates are worked out, first baby so all new to me! I've got an appointment to see my midwife on the 8th March and my scan booked in for the 29th March. The clearblue digital said 1-2 weeks, when I spoke to the doctor she said I was probably about 4 weeks and a few days maybe and my flo app says 5 weeks, anyone know which one it is? 😂 The first day of my last period was the 29th December.

Thanks 😊

Your 4 weeks by dates, at your 12 week scan theyll firm that up by measuring baby

You need to add two weeks to the clear blue test bet it dates from conception but pregnancy weeks include 2 weeks lead up before sperm meets egg.

Congratulations! It goes off the date of the first day of your last period so you're 4w1d (I think!)

We're very close in dates by the sound of it! My last period was 1st Jan which puts at me at 3wk 6 days at the minute!

Wish I has a scan date already, I rang the midwife yesterday and was only told I'd be contacted aroung 8 weeks for booking in x

Should say this is my first too, if you couldn't tell from my cluelessness haha x

Thanks everyone, thought it was about 4 but flo app confused me saying 5 weeks 😂 x

@XSunflower I phoned up on Monday straight after getting the positive test and they booked both for me 😂 maybe different areas/health boards do different things. Although I now just wish March would hurry up and I could then relax a bit after getting the scan etc 😬 x

Flo might have added days because it has a better idea of your cycle than the standard 28 days
