Tiny amount of mucus plug ?

I'm 37+4 weeks pregnant & ive been on watch for my mucus plug coming out.
I've just been to the loo & there was a small amount of mucus on the toilet roll ( I believe it was anyways )
I've read it can come away all at once or in pieces which I now think mine is doing

Do I have to inform my midwife ?
Also , how far away is labour now I'm possibly losing my plug or is it another waiting game ?

Thank you ☺️

It's totally normal to lose pieces throughout your pregnancy. I was under the impression that it's only a sign of imminent labour if it's bloody. I don't think you need to contact anyone just yet.
