Nesting early

I feel so silly, but I'm worried that the 'nesting' I'm experiencing is a sign that I'm not going to make it to term.

I had a 30 weeker in 2018 which traumatised me. Im 23 weeks now and the whole pregnancy so far has been a constant worry.

Could someone please tell me I'm being silly and worrying needlessly?
I'm not usually one to take much notice of things like this but its been playing on my mind.

Nesting can happen at any point or not at all. I’m 39+5 and had nesting a few weeks ago, still not even close to baby coming

Nesting happens on and off throughout pregnancy in my experience. It's not a sign of anything, anymore than telling people you are pregnant before 12 weeks will cause a miscarriage. It's just silly stuff people say. I imagine you are nesting or feel obliged to get ready in the instance that you have a another premature delivery. I don't know what the circumstances of your last pregnancy were but you have likely discussed it with your medical team. I'm sure it was extremely traumatic for you so this will absolutely have an effect on how you cope with this current pregnancy. Remember every day inside counts for babies. You are 23 weeks now and doing a good job. If you end up with everything sorted by 25 weeks, so be it! A few less things to do later on. I started getting bits out ridiculously early with this baby, I've never had a premature baby but I was bored and half curious about where we would put things in the bedroom etc. I went off it again for about a month or two and then started up again recently. I'm 31 weeks now, I very much doubt baby with be any time soon but it's my 4th so once I was out of the first trimester worry I just thought heck might as well embrace it now.
Best of luck OP I sincerely hope your baby stays put for a long time!
