28+2 measuring 30 cm

I went in for some bloods and the day care woman said she may as well while I was there (was due to be measured by midwife later this week).

I am 28+2 weeks and measuring at 30cm, I realised after however that my bladder wasn't empty, which notes say they should be.

Would my full/semi full bladder make my bump measure bigger?

Thank you all in advance.

There should be a personalised chart for bump measurements taking into account your height and build.
It will tell you whereabouts on the curve you are compared with other women of your size - ie if you lined up 100 women in size order you could be 10th in line or 90th (percentile).
You exact number doesn't matter as much as how it changes over the weeks. The fundal measurements using a tape measure are very inaccurate but they are just used to flag the extremes and changes. People at the top (95th percentile usually), bottom (less than 10th percentile) and those that change percentiles (e.g. Starting at 50th and dropping or jumping to the 25th or 75th percentile respectively) would qualify for growth scans or follow up tests to check on any issues.

My bump measured on the 10th percentile of my chart but she was born on the 60th percentile of my chart just for some idea of accuracies!

I had my first measurement at 29wks and was around 95th centile (for me that was about 29cm). MW wasn't concerned at all and said they don't worry if you're measuring big on the first measurement because bumps all vary and it's not necessarily a good predictor of how big the baby will be, it's about how the bump changes from there and that I should now follow the 95th centile line for measurements which would show everything is normal for me. Now waiting for 2nd measurement.
