Anyone who has had a pessary, can you have cramps/pains after only 2 hours??

I feel like I'm in agony!!

@Sandy1301 I’m assuming you mean pessary to start the induction process? I had an induction 12 weeks ago and had pains after an hour 😳🙈

I had period type cramps quite soon!! They lasted pretty much the whole 24 hours it was in! X

Yes totally possible. The women in the bed next to me had one at about 12. I only remember as I had just grabbed lunch and by the time I'd finished it she was already having pains. She was wheeled away to have baby before Dinner was served. Grin

Last week I was admitted to hospital, they gave the woman next to me a pessary and sent her home to wait for things to start. She was back within the hour having strong contractions so I guess it can be quick sometimes

Thank you. The midwife was in shock with how quick it all progressed!!!

Yep! I had that for nearly 24hrs every 5/10 minutes before they were deemed ‘regular’ too!

Good luck!
