Tw/tmi

I’m 38 weeks pregnant and last night about 10pm I started getting the worst pain I’ve ever experienced in my entire life. Like food poisoning x 10000000. It felt like my insides were being grabbed & twisted and felt like everything was going to explode. It made me sweat and shake and scream and cry.
I was going to the toilet and nothing was happening then I was sat on the sofa and had an “accident” since then I’ve had the worse diorhea I’ve ever experienced. I’ve been on the toilet all night. Google says it can be the start of labour. Has this happened to anyone else? I can’t get hold of my midwife not sure what to do.. Thanks in advance x

It can be but I’ve had it for the last two weeks, currently no sign of anything

Are you sure you didn't actually have food poisoning??
I've heard of people having a "clear out" but the pain and accident sounds different?

I could have written this myself except I'm 23 weeks! The exact same thing happened to me last night about 8pm. I was terrified, the pain was unbearable but strangely only lasted 20 minutes and then it disappeared. I'm pretty certain it was some form of gastroenteritis or something to do with my gut anyway. Trapped wind, anything. Completely freaked me out though! Hope you're okay today

Yeah I’m sure, I’ve been told by my midwife I’m in the early stages of labour.
