Has anyone else become sneezy in pregnancy?

I'm not ill but since becoming pregnant have been sneezing lots and always feeling a bit conjested. Googling I found pregnancy rhinits. This is a new one on me as never had it in my other pregnancies.

So so so sneezy! It’s annoying!

Yes
I've been sneezing since 4 weeks
Am now 20+3 and it's not stopping.
Also have nosebleeds now to regularly

Oneandabean · 24/01/2021 12:56

Yes otherwise feeling fine but been having sneezing fits from the beginning. Stopped briefly between 2/3 trimesters now 39 weeks and last few weeks it’s returned.

Yep increased blood flow everywhere including nasal passages plays a part! I'm 16 weeks tomorrow and my nose is permanently itching like I'm on the verge of a sneeze. And when I go for a walk in the cold I'm always sniffling, it's so irritating!

higglepiggley · 24/01/2021 13:12

Yes mine feels itchy to sometimes
I think it's very normal :)

I did. My nose became ultra sensitive to everything. My husband called me She-Wolf because I could smell things from miles away. The itchiness and sneezing was unbearable. I have a photo of me 4 months pregnant and I look like I've been punched in the face by Mike Tyson.

It's such a weird one. At first I thought I was getting a bit run down and had caught a lurgi but when it continued I started looking for causes. What I found says it can stay for the duration but go soon after delivery.

I got a saline nose spray from the chemist to ease the itchiness and stuffiness. It wasn't as good as an antihistamine or anti-congestant but better than nothing.

I’ve become sneezy and coughy! I’ve read online that you do become more congested which explains the extra sneezing but not sure about the coughing!

As you can imagine, in the current climate the looks I get when coughing aren’t great! Even DH gets worried and I have to remind him I’ve been coughing since September!

Wondering why i sneeze so much without congestion though
It's so strange
